I just assumed you guys were all talking about the Badger Call going on right now in England. I'm surprised that there is no thread on it in Sir Paul's own forum. (and surprised Paul hasn't issued any statement against it) Well, I'm no expert but apparently somewhere in the UK, they're attempting to kill all the badgers. Not sure why since all my info comes from the opposing side and I've noticed that they tend to black out that information. I think something about badgers spreading TB but I'm not sure. Anyhow, I learned everything I know about it from this man here whom I'm sure many of you might already know: https://www.facebook.com/stevie.riksnew?fref=ts scroll down the left side of his page (not the right) and you'll see open letters for both UK and non UK residents about the cull and if you check out his Likes page, there's links to many FB pages about this issue there too

as far as i am aware it isnt all the badgers just 5000 of them. They cull animals all the time for different reasons, dont know why people are making such a fuss over these ones

right ALL 'culling' (daily murder of ALL types of animals) should be 'fussed' over.. including those that end up on plates and in stomachs.. not just one set.. ALL should be respected and protected.

right thought it would be OBVIOUS - the benefit of not killing animals is that they would not be killed/they would be able to live clear enough? the only 'fanaticism' that is present is that of the lust for bloodshed and flesh at the cost of innocent lives.

and going on and on about it. Trust me, I've noticed this in religous folk who preach against sex or other such sins too. they seem to like talking about it a bit too much

Like I stated in an earlier post, the reason for the culls seems to be omitted from the information I am receiving. I am aware of culls being done in the past and there were valid reasons. In the book The Fox and the Hound, the author tells of a cull of rabid foxes in a new suburban developement in the late 50s, early 60s. those foxes were spreading the disease to every living thing around them. Here in Kensington Park in MI, we have a problem with the deer and there have been culls. Yes, the local vegans screamed bloody murder and so did the hunters. The hunters wanted a lottery while the city wanted to hire sharp shooters. (I think the sharpshooters won out. Who wants a bunch of Ted Nugents walking that close with loaded weapons by residential houses?). I took a walk through the park and saw nothing green below 6 feet. That's called a browse line. The deer had overpopulated and decimated the ecosystem. The vegans in this case, had they got their way, would have destroyed the entire ecology of the park. Granted, I do support the vegan's demand of birth control on the deer but that would only work in the future. In the meantime, too much damage was being done by an enlarged population. It was a nightmarish devastation to see nothing green growing in the height of summer in nature. Only the tallest pine trees had anything on them.

as long as the problem (killing animals, all animals, for whatever 'reason') goes on, it will be opposed and continued to be 'talked about/talked against' by those who care and oppose such bloodshed. the problem is not the talking and opposition to the murder. the problem IS the murder. 'they seem to like murder a bit too much' would be a very appropriate comeback.

Yes, it is very appropriate. that is why I used it. I've noticed the positive reinforcement in an opposition's argument especially in the Gay Rights debates but it comes up in this issue as well. Talking. It needs to be define.d It's not the same as badgering. (No pun intended but ha ha ha ha ha)

right. innocent animals badgered, beaten, and murdered every second. THAT is what NEEDS to be stopped. THAT has been defined already. all the bloodshed is what NEEDS to be stopped.

I don`t know where you are looking, Kathryn O, but the culls have had a HUGE amount of media coverage in the UK, and the majority of the public is against them. Hasn`t stopped them, sadly, although they are not happening everywhere. Cornwall, for instance, is not having a badger cull, as they are going with TB vaccination programme instead.
