Hello everybody! I've decided I want to be a vegetarian, and since I'm a fan of Paul's (Who we all know is a very famous vegetarian), I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I'm 17, and my parents are supportive, but I need a few steps to get started. I'm gonna try this first, and I know it may be doomed to failure, but I'm thinking of going cold turkey on meat (Pardon the pun) Any suggestions or recommendations?

Runnin' through the nighttime, baby, lookin' like a wreck; Got too many highlights and a love bite on her neck, lookin' for some pay daddy who'll maybe come around, and everybody wonderin' "What's that sound?"

Congrats on starting to go veggie! It's the best thing you can do for yourself, the planet and of course the animals Starting out it seems most people want to know what they can eat so I encourage you to stop by the Cosmically conscious thread where there is tons of info on going veggie with recipes and health questions. http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=23 Also here is the link to PETA's free veggie starter kit, They also have lots of information and recipes on their website. http://www.goveg.com/order.asp When people start cold turkey they sometimes get frustrated if they can't think of what to eat especially if they are living in a meat eating home. I think it's a good idea to keep something like peanut butter and jelly available for those times so that you don't get so hungry you eat meat. If you have any other questions stop by the recipe thread in Cosmically Conscious and we all will be happy to give some help getting you started Time for a veggie group hug

Well always have inspiration around like a cat or dog that you love very much and try to not eat meat and try to think of what would happen if that pet went to a slaughter house i know weird and crazy but it works and plus if you don't like the taste of meat that's another reason that's why my sister became one also I've tried to, to my sister is part of Peta so it kind of helps to hope that kind of helps hopefully and plus there's lots of meat recipe's that you can substatute for tofu or fake meat or veggi's to so just ask your parents to subsatute meat for whatever veggi's tofu anything vegitarian!!!!!!! Also Think of Paul he's been one for almost 21 years. Again Hope It Helps A Little Or Lot Or None Whatever!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, congrats for your decision! I have been a vegetarian (lacto-ovo) for about four years and now trying to be a vegan. Are you gonna be a vegan or a vegetarian? I've never had a problem with not eating flesh. Actually, as you've written in your blog, I never loved meat and ate it with force of my parents. I was 14 or 15 when I went veggie, so don't worry. Cold turkey or such a symptom never happens. I wish you success and congrats again!

Hey It's Paulmusic Again I Made A Thread In Band On The Run Called music Check It Out. But Any Way My Family And Extended Family has lots of meat eaters. I know my parents will suport me because they used to be vegitarians in college and my sister is one. But I don't know if I should be one because in my famly and extended because I know they think it's annoying especially when we go on Cape Cod because my sister doesn't eat fish and any meat or seafood because seafood products are still animals and you can't eat much there. So if you have any suggestons anything please tell and say something because I want to know if I should be one or not and if so how I could start. Thx from, Paulmusic
