Yes. So what? He wasn`t even a (full-time) vegetarian then.
In Paul's history he became one in the 70s.
Yes, he became a vegetarian in the 70's, not in the 80's. I don't think that's also the time he started not wearing leather stuff and so on though, that happened later.
No, there are interviews from the 70s where he is eating chicken wings. They ate fish and chips at the London Town press launch.Paul and Linda had periods of vegetarianism in the 70s,but it wasn`t permanent until the 80s. They were still wearing fur until `76/`77!
From a recent article/interview with Paul: 'Paul became vegetarian in 1975, when he and Linda were carving a roast....' etc. And he's talking about the 35 years since he became a veggie. So 70's it is.
Not the "lambs gambolling" story? It probably put them off for a while. We could go back and forth on this forever, but there is plenty of evidence of Paul and Linda eating meat and fish in the 70s. In fact Paul talks about eating caviar (which isn`t veggie) in 1981. Paul and Linda were - dare I say it?- not entirely honest about when they went veggie. And Paul still isn`t. Or he`s forgotten. I know Mary (or Stella) said they were vegetarian for a while and then they weren`t.
Paul said that they ate caviar not realizing that the fish had to be killed to get it. They stopped eating it after they found this out.
Yes, but it proves they weren`t very far down the veggie path in 1981.

I do think they became vegetarians in the 70th. I remember reading Linda was allowed to bring Paul cheese sandwiches, when he was held in Tokio. Maybe not to eat animals, and then don't use any products like leather is a further step. -
I`ve heard he had fish in prison! Paul always manages to skirt around that in interviews!
Well, in prison you can't always control what they feed you. I myself wouldn't bring it up except some of his recent comments have been a litte offensive regarding the subject and that puts me on the offensive.
Prisons have to cater for all diets. OK, I`ll bite- what has Paul said that you find offensive?
His latest quote about ugly people wearing fur. It was pretty petty, mean and offensive and not constructive to his cause in any way, shape or form. Now if he said snobby people wore fur...I'd agree with him. but with the term 'ugly', it was obviously meant to hit at a woman's base insecurity. \ seeing such an obvious manipulative and cruel tactic angers me. Only an ugly person would do such a thing (and i don't mean their looks)
*sigh*. You have already been answered about this. That is a very well-known phrase which has been around since at least the 1980s. Paul didn`t invent it, and it`s aimed at people who wear fur, not women.It`s talking about what`s inside,not outer beauty. Sayng fur is worn by "snobby people" doesn`t have the same impact. And "unsnobby animals"? No, it doesn`t work. However, Linda did have a "Rich Bitch, Poor Bitch" campaign.It features a picture of a woman (yes, a woman) in a fur coat and a slaughtered fox.
that's the kind of tactics that turned me away from PETA. It doesn't convert anyone therefore does not serve the purpose. and yes, I remember that and wasn't happy about it. I still want to do one of the naked posters but with a woman all frostbitten about to lose her toes. (makeup would do this).
