Maccaboard Problem
-
I have a problem accessing Maccaboard from my desktop at home, get error message that I don't have security for this server. I can get to everything else on the website. I have no issues with getting to Maccaboard with my labtop or my desktop at work. Has anyone ever had this problem or know why it may be happening?

Having problems accessing maccaboard reliably in recent days. As others have reported, got the "Forbidden" message saying I didn't have permission to access on this server 1. First problem was with my Windows PC using Firefox. I took the advice to clear cache, cookies, etc and all was well. 2. Had problem accessing using Safari on iphone but problem disappeared as mysteriously as it had appeared. 3. This evening I've been getting the message on my ipad using safari and wireless access to internet. I suspect there's a problem somewhere on the maccaboard side of things? Seems suspicious that I've had intermittent problems with various devices and different browsers. Please pass this along to the tech team and if there's any advice on how to solve the problem on the ipad please let me know. Thanks.

Hi Sophie, Thanks so much for your report. Sorry to learn that you are experiencing these issues. I am not much of a techie, but I do know that sometimes these issues are encountered due to maintenance, updates, minor changes made, etc. on either end. Our standard advice in dealing with these issues is indeed the advice provided above. I will pass along this information and thanks again for your report. Anita

Hi Sophie, I came back to this thread to let you know that whilst at the cinema, attempting to have a look at the message board prior to the start of the film, I received the Forbidden message for the first time on my phone. Launched the browser, clicked settings, clicked clear all cookie data, found myself back in business as quickly as I had been out. Whilst previewing this post, I noticed that I had not posted the information I had Googled in response to your quoted request above - sorry about that! ops: http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265
Clear information from your device To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data. To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.
I hope this information resolves the issue on your iPad. Anita

@wandy said in My Visit To Ringo's Child hood Home In Liverpool:
@njr Lol! As Ringo said in Yellow Submarine. "DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON"!!!! Funny. As I'm typing this out, the button isn't there
Well, now you’ve gone and done it! The red button is still there for me. Not that it does anything for me! I love the way they just threw this new forum in our faces and never explained how to use it. Like giving a 13 year old a car and expecting him to know what all the buttons, knobs etc. do and drive perfectly!
