You see, Nancy! If they make mistakes as basic as that, then the way they write the lyrics to Live And Let Die carries no authority whatsoever!!

my lyrics aren't misheard them. I'm the one who got them right. I'll keep telling myself that.

"I don't like you" "I'll get over it"

If they were the only ones who wrote "the world in which we live in" I'd go along with your reasoning. But every place else I looked on line and in songbooks lists it that way. (and yes I know you're just trying to get my goat!)

I already have your goat! He's living happily in a field just up the hill from me: This is actually a photo I took myself a few years ago but it keeps turning up in all kinds of funny places on the Web. Quite funny! Sorry! I can only refer you back to my belligerent comments on the other thread! I suppose there is a possible parallel here though in that Paul - deliberately or accidentally - spelt Vanderbilt wrong in the song title. Vanderbilt is clearly what you hear, and Vandebilt isn't really a name anyone has. It's similar to the Live And Let Die ("in which we live in/we're livin'") lyric in that the version that makes sense and that you hear most obviously when you listen to it is different from the "official" (wrong) version!

Jon, I am LMAO! Hey and I actually agree with you--originally I think Paul (or whoever) misspelled Vanderbilt as Vandebilt on the album and it stuck as that. (the Vanderbilts were a wealthy family who built the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vanderbilt_family BUT, I still hear "in which we live in" not your version (sorry!)

Yeah, the VandeRbilts were railroad barons... You think that is bad, in the section where they list all the tours, they still have him playing the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, NY in 1993. THAT SHOW NEVER HAPPENED. You would think Paul's people would know that!

Rather than start a thread devoted to such a minor issue, I thought I'd post my observation here. A teenie-weenie typo at this link: http://www.paulmccartney.com/web/guest/album-details?p_p_id=AlbumDetails_WAR_AlbumDetailsportlet&p_p_lifecycle=0&p_p_state=normal&p_p_mode=view&p_p_col_id=column-1&p_p_col_count=1&p_r_p_564233524_tag=album-memory+almost+full&#p_AlbumDetails_WAR_AlbumDetailsportlet#TOP "The first ever Paul McCartney album to be available digitally. The album made it to no.3 in the US and has sold over 1.5 copies worldwide." Doesn't "million*" need to be added? [size=7]*=I'd prefer "billion" for Paul, actually.

Surely it's still accurate. Since both you and I own it, then it HAS sold over 1.5 copies!!
