I'm still pretty p*ssed off at the people who decided to snatch our memberships from us out of nowhere. It's really unprofessional. Even if they did bring back some features to the site... they'd be bringing back stuff premium members paid for... for everyone to have for free. It doesn't justify why we had to pay for it to begin with. You either refund everyone for stealing their paid stuff from them or reinstate the premium membership and just ask us what we weren't happy with about it. All it needed was tweaking! I'd happily pay for it again providing they just listened to our ideas and improved it. They'd be making money as well! Why would they object to that? Fobbing us off with a couple of downloads really isn't enough. It's just their way of trying to pacify us when we had every right to be really annoyed by this. It's a terrible way to treat such loyal fans.

Hello! There will be no Jukebox. He now has a deal with Spotify for streaming audio, so he cannot legally stream audio for free on the website. And please do not expect physical CDs or DVDs, since many of the premium members joined through the RAM boxed set and the website does not have their physical addresses. Yes, this was handled in a sloppy way, but downloads are now the only practical way for them to try to make it right without creating a logistical nightmare. I agree, they should try to give us material that has never been available elsewhere at all, Let's hope this happens. The bonus features from "Live Kisses" would be very welcome, for one thing. I do think they're trying to listen to all of our concerns (contrary to "you pays your money, you takes your chances"?he's not a gangster, for God's sake, and some people have been reimbursed), but there are some things they simply will not do, as much as we may wish otherwise!

Not so sure about the veracity of this, as Paul is indeed already streaming his own content on this web-site. The Soundcloud hosted player is accessed by clicking the right pointing arrow next to the search field and Sign Up buttons top right. All Paul's tracks are also available on the MPL communications media player. I think Spotify make their money by making tracks hosted there available to buy in the same manner as the iTunes download site - however unlike iTunes they play whole tracks and allow users to build personal playlists - eventually to encourage that purchase. I'm personally hoping to see more albums made available on Spotify and then have dedicated playlists embedded into the main site - I think that option would be easier than hosting the whole Jukebox thing again. I was asked by MPL to emphasise that they will indeed consider all suggestions - and they themselves used the example that the small Soundcloud media player is not "set in stone" on the main site and that if members want something more akin the Jukebox built into the web-site redesign then members should state this clearly within this topic. Certainly not trying to stir anything but it has to be said the spotify deal went live and seemingly within days the jukebox and premium memberships where gone now it could be a timing issue certainly but it does look like the deal with spotify had at least something to do with things going belly up.

Yes, I shouldn't have claimed to know the reason, but it does seem to add up. It doesn't really make sense to me that they would pull the plug so suddenly unless there were some legal issue involved.

and where can this be found?

Yes, please. More akin to the fab jukebox. We could have our own playlist there & even check on our 'friends' lists. BTW...when are we getting our pages back (and friends)??

I notice that MPL have offered an extended version of the Daily Mail freebie "Live in Los Angeles" CD. As someone who bought a copy of the original, this is of little interest, but I'm sure there are many who don't have access to eBay and weren't able to get a copy of the original CD, for whom this download will be fun : I sense MPL are REALLY trying to give us something without giving us something.
Yeah i think your right i suppose its better than nothing but for those of us who have it already
So basically I've (and we've, it appears) have been offered two free downloads of things we already have or have had access to for at least 6 months now (in the case of Live Kisses). The rest of these goodies had better be something special to make up for the premium fees we paid. Perhaps physical objects in the mail?

This stuff about the paid membership creating first and second class fans is nonsense. It's a product: you either pay for it or you don't. It's like arguing that having to pay for an album creates second class fans. I'm sorry for those who can't afford such luxuries, but that doesn't make them wrong or unfair.
Again have to agree, its utter nonsense to suggest 2nd class fans where created by the premium membership, its a luxury yes but nothing was hidden behind the paywall that couldn't be found either on the site or through the internet, the way some of the more hysterical posts have suggested that we got the meaning of life with the membership we didn't and if we did i missed it As for the Kisses's download its a nice gesture but not one i will be taking up to be honest when i get it,and its not high on my list of Paul things to get fankly i'll get it on blu ray, still nice of them to offer it.
to both posts!

Is anyone here really listening? I'd say a good percentage of 'pioneer' members already have this amoeba show. Do they really not know this? It would be nice to get something that is truly rare. Same with the live Kisses show. And without the extras that the dvd provides, what was the point?
I keep waiting for an e-mail announcing our next goodie to be a recording of the ultra rare "Hey Jude". :

I think most of us agree that we DO NOT WANT DOWNLOADS. As collectors, we want PHYSICAL FORMATS.
That would be nice too. Anyone listening?

How many premium members do you think there were? I think 3000 would be my guess. I'm number 2527 and I joined in August of this year. So with 3,000 people to accomadate, do we all think that they would go into production, make a limited quantity, and ship them for free, all because they ended some memberships. I know MPL represents Paul, and Paul loves his fans more than most artists. But I think a gift in physical format is asking too much. don't get me wrong,I want it to happen. And I would be ecstatic if it did. But they're not going to put something in the goodie bag if it means loosing money. They are a business after all. However, the customer is always right....
It was easy enough for MPL to take our money, i'm sure they have the wherewithall to be able to send the 'Pioneer suckers' something.
Perhaps a t-shirt with large lollipops on the back...

Preach it, Frankie! I'm right there with you. You can't claim to care about your fans on one hand and then treat them this way on the other hand. I'm still holding out hope on the rest of the "goodies" we've been promised, but if we're going to keep getting downloads of some pretty common shows or DVD's, expect a big stink, MPL.

Many folks have already expressed a desire to bring back the Jukebox in this topic. Should we keep reposting that? If so: Bring back the Jukebox! Bring back the Jukebox! Bring back the Jukebox! Bring back the Jukebox! Bring back the Jukebox! (Well, you get the idea. )

If Paul is ever told about the extent of this debacle, I think he'll be pretty embarrassed.
Seriously? He must already know...he's a businessman and this was probably, in fact, his decision. Paul's too switched on to let a decision like this be made without his knowledge. After all, those representing him as Admins of this site are working for him and are carrying out work in his name - he's not daft.
Yeah, seriously. Of course, he knows about this business decision. But, I don't think he knows how many of his fans feel deceived; he doesn't read this board - do you think he's being given an honest account of the reaction to this decision? I doubt it. I don't think he would be pleased at the way the decision was communicated and executed.
I wouldn't be surprised if he does read the board...if it was you, wouldn't you be curious? I think with all the overblown senses of entitlement and outrage expressed on this thread, he'll have been made aware of what the general mood is and will have decided on a course of action. Some people who signed up very recently definitely have grounds to be upset but I understand they're being refunded from some of the posts on here. The rest of us need to get a sense of perspective. No-one made us buy these premium memberships. And people seeking physical copies of the downloads we were given, or generally griping, you don't have to take the downloads. It's a choice. There's no pleasing everyone, but I for one appreciate the gesture. All Things Must Pass...

Help! I haven't gotten any emails about downloading Kisses and I'm a Premium member. Or isn't it ready yet? This new site is taking a toll on me as I also had to get a new computer and that has Windows 8! SO HELP ME IF YOU CAN. gerpape

Has anyone received the email regarding the free download of the Kisses DVD? I did get the extended LA set list but can't find anything on the DVD Thanks Tom
-
Hi Tom Have you checked your spam folder yet? If indeed you have not received the e-mail (sent out to former premium members on November 9th), please contact webmaster@paulmccartney.com and include the email details you used to register your account.

I really don't agree with this sentiment. It's not about having an "overblown sense of entitlement" - it's about spending REAL money on something that was promised but never delivered. Remember, the WHOLE hype was about getting access to McCartney's archive, as uploaded to his Cloud. Here's a quote from Sean Murdock, posted at stevehoffman.tv: "As you said, the possibilities were "extraordinary" so I signed up for "Premium Membership" -- heck, I was a "Pioneer" member on top of that! The insult added to the injury -- which I haven't seen mentioned here yet -- is that they told us "Premium" members that our first year of membership would basically "reboot" when they went out of beta and launched the "final" site. So, we basically helped fund their test period, allowing them to decide to dustbin the whole thing on our dime. The "Live Kisses" download was nice, and the "Live in L.A." album (with 2 unreleased tracks) was better still, but I didn't sign up for this only for "free" stuff -- I was hoping to be starting a unique and rewarding long-time relationship with Paul's archive through this website. A few tossed crumbs won't make up for the loss of that promise." The bit I'll draw your attention to is the "starting a unique and rewarding long-time relationship with Paul's archive". THAT'S what I signed up for, the rest was merely flotsam and jetsam. It looks like all we're getting now is the flotsam and jetsam.
