I think with all the overblown senses of entitlement and outrage expressed on this thread, he'll have been made aware of what the general mood is and will have decided on a course of action. Some people who signed up very recently definitely have grounds to be upset but I understand they're being refunded from some of the posts on here. The rest of us need to get a sense of perspective. No-one made us buy these premium memberships. And people seeking physical copies of the downloads we were given, or generally griping, you don't have to take the downloads. It's a choice. There's no pleasing everyone, but I for one appreciate the gesture.
I really don't agree with this sentiment. It's not about having an "overblown sense of entitlement" - it's about spending REAL money on something that was promised but never delivered. Remember, the WHOLE hype was about getting access to McCartney's archive, as uploaded to his Cloud. Here's a quote from Sean Murdock, posted at stevehoffman.tv: "As you said, the possibilities were "extraordinary" so I signed up for "Premium Membership" -- heck, I was a "Pioneer" member on top of that! The insult added to the injury -- which I haven't seen mentioned here yet -- is that they told us "Premium" members that our first year of membership would basically "reboot" when they went out of beta and launched the "final" site. So, we basically helped fund their test period, allowing them to decide to dustbin the whole thing on our dime. The "Live Kisses" download was nice, and the "Live in L.A." album (with 2 unreleased tracks) was better still, but I didn't sign up for this only for "free" stuff -- I was hoping to be starting a unique and rewarding long-time relationship with Paul's archive through this website. A few tossed crumbs won't make up for the loss of that promise." The bit I'll draw your attention to is the "starting a unique and rewarding long-time relationship with Paul's archive". THAT'S what I signed up for, the rest was merely flotsam and jetsam. It looks like all we're getting now is the flotsam and jetsam.
You beat me to it, Oobu, but heck, why not another? Rock on, Paulie H!

This is what I signed up for and it's gone.

I'll be shamefully plugging my prem. membership petition for a while. Sorry in advance! Thanks for signing it, scruff!

I just don't know why they got rid of it in the first place, the site was perfection. All they needed to do was remove the little "beta" sign in the corner.

So easy, right?

I would be great if a download of the wings cartoon was made available ( the one about the mice that lived under the stage ) and the recordings that took place with The Gibbs

You should put a link to it in your signature so folks all over the forum can see it, as well.

Getting rather fed up with this. Don't seem to be getting any premium member emails now. Emailed webmaster@paulmccartney.com and said I hadn't had the kisses download email. They replied saying look in junk folder, which I'd already done. I replied and got a bounce back which went into junk, so emailed again (without replying). I then got a reply saying they would get Topspin to send another link. Never got that, or anything in junk. Replied again and got another bounce back into junk. Emailed again using original address and have not had any reply at all (and nothing in junk). I haven't had any email about the other download. I give up!

Don't give up! Here's what Martin posted: These downloads are provided courtesy of TopSpin Media. They do not have a specific FAQ related to the Live In Los Angeles download, but general Paul McCartney advice is here: http://support.topspinmedia.com/categories/20022016-paul-mccartney-faqs Topspin's general download FAQ section may be found here: http://support.topspinmedia.com/forums If the solution to your problem is not found within Topspin's FAQ sections, you may contact Topspin Customer Support for further assistance here: https://app.topspin.net/account/help_public Include in your first contact the e-mail address to which the download e-mail was sent so they can verify entitlement to having a fresh redemption code sent.

Sorry to hear of your issues Kay - good to hear you are in touch with them, if you find any e-mail in Spam or Trash always make sure you relabel it by hitting the "Not Spam" button, that should ensure future e-mails from that same address does not end up in Spam in future. On another topic: I hadn't realised when I set up my Disqus comment account to comment on main site news/blog entries how powerful and convenient the service is. I idly browsed to a newspaper article on-line to find the comments feature was provided by Disqus as well and there at the bottom of the article was my avatar alongside a comments box awaiting any viewpoint I cared to make. No kerfuffle with setting up an account to post a comment specifically for that newpaper - the general Disqus settings applied ensures any direct reply to that comment comes to me as an e-mail notification with the option to come back at that reply -directly from within the e-mail notification... All power to Disqus.... Martin

I also sent an email and heard nothing, and contacted topspin about not getting the dvd download and they are looking into it. this is a great bonus for me losing my premier membership, absolutely nothing!

Just dropping by to say I really miss the Jukebox feature on the site. I didn't actually realize how much I listened to it during the workday. Such a bummer that it's gone.

http://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/paul-mccartney-live-in-los-angeles-the-extended-set/#more-14070 The above website rightly points out that only ONE unreleased live track from the Amoeba show appears on the download offered to the "ripped off" premium members - the two minute "Nod your head".. Ok, whilst MPL are trying to make it up to the former premium members, just how much more already available and totally non-exclusive stuff can we expect? The Macca archive must be huge - the HP team took several years working every day with 10 people to digitise it all apparently...are you seriously telling me that Paul doesn't want to share anything that's not been currently available/released? Even rare b-sides like "Ode to a koala bear" or "I'll give you a ring" would be better than the superfluous stuff being offered in exchange for being robbed/cheated....the promise of a fantastic website opening it's doors to Pauls archive. Slightly fraudulent I'd say. C'mon MPL, how about some more communication, how about some answers to the questions and comments, how much longer do you want to alienate and lose fans? It's clear that many of us are very angry and upset - WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO RESPOND?

http://www.people.com/people/videos/0,,20649478,00.html Wow, a great behind the scenes video of Paul recording his new Christmas song... Is it on the Paul McCartney web-site? No, don't be stupid, why would the "official" website have anything interesting, new or exclusive on it. As usual, I have to find Macca stuff elsewhere. Apart from this forum I'm struggling to find what the point of his website is. When I was fleeced of my money it didn't have much on it..now it's just a waste of time. ;0(

"McCartney Radio" had a lot of potential -- but even that eventually became neglected; whenever I'd randomly tune in, the same radio-interview of Paul in Italy(?) would be playing.
