Just when i thought my issues with the main site were over concerning Google Chrome it comes back to bite me on the arse, now i can't log out of the site, it moves over to "making adjustments check back later" so annoying. When i clear the tab and get on the site on another tab yet again i'm still logged in, really it's getting silly.

The site's maintenance might have confounded the setting of cookies on your PC which determine such things. These cookies are held local to you in your saved data. It might just be that in closing a tab you're not truly closing down or logging out of Chrome and it's functions. Try shutting Chrome down completely then revisit by relaunching Chrome - some data is cleared routinely when Google Chrome closes down properly. If that doesn't work try manually clearing the cache and cookies: In Chrome go to top right - the spanner symbol - "Customise and Control Google Chrome", click that, and follow the submenus - Tools - Clear Browsing data. A pop-up window appears, you can select the period of data to clear from one hour up to " the beginning of time" The two key options will be: Empty the cache and Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data The rest of the stored data probably can remain. Experiment with the shortest period of time and those two options until you feel you've worked back long enough to cover your recent visit. Google Chrome seems to be trying to be helpful. Martin

Thanks Martin, emptying the cache' seems to have done the trick, for now. It's the first time i've ever had to do that in 5 years, very strange.
