Has anybody created/submitted a Rude Studio remix yet?
-
I made my own mix of "Let Me Roll It" -- submitted it on Saturday but the page hasn't been updated yet. The four user-submitted mixes that are alreadfy there are interesting. This is a fantastic feature to Paul's new site -- the technology impresses me! Check it out: http://www.paulmccartney.com/web/guest/rude-studio

Very cool mix, audi. you show perfectly the point that a recording that one has heard a hundred times can become new if the arrangement is changed, or even the mix. I like especially the part with only the keyboards. can you believe i had this idea many years ago? If I ever release a Cd, then adding another one with software that enables the customer to mix the songs at will. Even adding instruments that are not in the CD final mix. I mean, I record a typical ballad. But I add extra tracks for the people to play with and create personal versions with the software. like adding a techno beat or punk guitars. Now I see it can be done online. I would like to get that software.

Thanks, Ollie! I can tell you definitely listened. Since you'd conceived this idea once yourself, when can we expect a mix from you?

There are actual "remixer" guys out there that fool around with separating tracks & have put out quite a few cds. They've done on seperate tracks...For No One -bass & percussion -horn -keyboards -vocals
-
Suddenly, NOBODY'S mixes are available.
-
1/2 of it is still there for me. How did you get there? I went through fans home.

With your broad thought-process, I'm sure you'll take whatever you do to a new level!

thanks man, however we shall see I just did a not too adventurous re-mix of Maybe I'm Amazed, but I'm having trouble submitting it. I keep getting a page which says 'Oops, there was a problem..' or something to that effect. I'll keep trying.

The ninth mix at the Rude Remixes section, "Strang On The Flang Mix" of "Band On The Run" is a trippy lil' ride.
-
You guys should check out Captykeys' remix of "Band Of The Run" at the Rude Studio page. It's damn good! Once the drums are mixed in, the effect on the drums give the song a whole new groove. Almost double-time but funky. (currently No. 6) http://www.paulmccartney.com/web/guest/rude-studio
