http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/garth-brooks-surpasses-elvis-presley-in-album-sales-again-20150113 Brooks still has a long way to go before outselling the all-time champs, however. The Beatles have sold 178 million units and remain the most-certified act in RIAA history. The Fab Four have earned 26 multi-platinum certifications from the RIAA.

The classics keep right on selling. I believe the day will come when we will see Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon overtake Michael Jackson's Thriller as the biggest selling album of all time.

I can't take any "measurement" seriously that puts Garth Brooks ahead of Elvis. Gotta be something wrong with the measurement. Brooks isn't even a syllable in the novel that is Elvis. Brooks is a towel boy, cowering at the foot of the Pacific Ocean that is THE KING. FFS

This story circulates every few years, and I scoff each time. To me, it's all about units -- not dollars. Elvis has sold more than any artist, including Michael Jackson ... and that band from Liverpool.

And I approve your approval! Gotta love THE KING. The Beatles are my Number One, but I just love Elvis. As an individual, he is unparalleled. Everything about him.

Oh right! Well Dark Side will eventually pass that one too. Though in the long run, The Beatles 1 may outsell all of them.

Garth Brooks and Elvis should not be mentioned in the same sentence
