Floor seats - expect to stand or sit?

I stood most of last night's concert in Memphis, as did everyone around me in the front center section. Only sat down briefly a few times to rest (I'm not 21 anymore!)
22?
You're sweet Phil, but no, I haven't been 22 since 1977!

I was 22 in 1973. And my hair is now gray.

I was asking because I thought I read in another thread (maybe about rudeness) that people on the floor were getting yelled at for standing. I would expect everyone to stand and actually want to even though it might impair my sight line. I don't think I'll be able to sit, I will be way too happy and excited to remain in my seat.
I can just tell you at a Steve Nicks Fleetwood mac concert.. The girl next to me got her hair pulled by the girl behind for standing and it turned into a all out catfight. I mean fits to cuffs rolling in the isles. Their partners had to drag them or more like pry them apart. Surreal. So I guess it depends on who ask you to sit. LOL. This was bleachers right above stage. At Eric Clapton a guy sat down right when the lights when out bump the a guys girlfriend knee, he turned apologised and the guy belted him in the face with a closed fist( guy was like 70 too) Cops came, guy arrested for assault, so that screwed up the first half hour of concert. Both Seattle.. just saying.

Holy crap! What happened to "Seattle nice"?
I was kind of thinking Seattle people are usually overly nice and they may want to sit to not disrupt other's view, but never expected brawls. Ha!

I'm going to the Seattle show in July and got floor seats. I heard a rumor that the floor seats are festival seating, is this true or untrue? Don't get me wrong, i'm excited just to be going but it's my first Macca concert and i've got a ticket that says row 21 and i'm hoping that's guaranteed.

There are seat assignments with different prices for different sections so it shouldn't be festival seating. Where did the rumor come from?

I heard in Brazil it was festival seating, I don't know if that's true that it was or people just assumed by how crowded the picture of the crowd was. Even if it was i guess it's probably differs from venue to venue. Thanks for that clarification!

Yes, the Brazil shows were festival seating, but I don't think any US shows are (except the actual festivals like Bonnaroo).

I've been 2nd row floor, 12th row floor and in great, low seats on the side...and loved standing the whole time. This time (Tulsa), I bought nosebleeds by the stage and not many stood. Won't EVER do that again. Nothing compares with the experience of being down front and standing...no matter how old we get.
