Making rock/pop songs grammatically correct

I'm not the most astute grammar-nerd, but I've noticed that "poetic license" has allowed for some of the most glaring, grammatical errors ever! Sounds like a good thread idea! What if we re-wrote lyrics, so that they were grammatical? Hmmmm...

How about Lionel Richie's "Hello"? "Hello -- is it me you're looking for?" WRONG!!!! "Me" is incorrect, as it is the direct-object, and -- of course -- one must never end a sentence with a preposition. It should be: "Hello. Is it I for whom you are looking?"

James Brown's "Say It Loud": "Say it loud, I'm balck and I'm proud." WRONG!!!! "Loud," which is an adjective, should be replaced with an adverb. Therefore, I have to correct the lyric with: "Say it loudly..." Of course, this creates the problem of "proud" no longer rhyming with anything. Way ahead of ya'... How about: "...and I proclaim it proudly."

funny thread audi, I'm finding I'm really bad at identifying poor grammer in songs.. I'll be thinking about this one
One I came up with is that 2 Live Crew song Me So Horny proper grammer lyric should be I am so horny.. I will love you for a long time great song btw

... But the day "there'll be no more songs". Some think that all the great songs that can be written are already written, so the great songs "are over". Maybe some day the songs will be over, but not yet. -

This one has always annoyed me: Bryan Adams' "Run To You" "She says her love for me could never die But that'd change if she ever found out about you and I" WRONG!!!! You and...I??? Grammatically, it should be "...you and me."

I'm not Shakespeare, If I was I would use more complicated words, and I like to keep it simple and straight... If Shakespeare wrote songs he would need long long melodies to make his points...
