Welcome to the Supernova Club! The old Supernova thread has reached 1,000 pages and will soon be moved to the Souvenir section. In this thread we talk about all kinds of music. We are going to talk about bands/artists like The Smiths, Oasis, Adam Green, The Beatles, The Strokes, Brigitte Bardot, Hard-Fi, Babyshambles, Amy Winehouse, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby Stills & Nash, Arcade Fire, Beck, Turbonegro, The Hooters, The Go! Team, La Rocca, Manic Street Preachers, Nada Surf, Yeah Yeah Yeahs etc. The people contributing to this thread are officially called "beautiful people". There are no rules right now...but that could soon change. We talk about music here, but this is a place where we can talk about anything. Have fun! Link to the old thread: http://macca.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=51630&start=0 ?I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the Supernova Club, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the Supernova Club."

Hey Svenn! Nice new thread...very cool. I heard not long ago that Art Garfunkel will have some stops in my state in this current tour. I'm gonna see if I can't get to at least one of them. Looks like I missed Crosby and Nash's tour this time. Maybe next time. 😉

I like Art Garfunkel. What a great voice he has! I think there are other members of the Supernova who like him too. I am not quite sure, but I think we have talked about him before. It would be great if you cold see Art on his tour. This is a very nice song by Crosby, Stills and Nash:

Yay, I'm on the first page of the new thread! Is it OK to talk about Aretha Franklin as well? I was kinda surprised to hear her sing the British National Anthem today until I realised the lyrics were different I know the American lyrics from the musical Hair but the melody is slightly different and I never knew it was nicked from the British Anthem... I wonder if I can use this knowledge somehow in my upcoming exam about America Anyhow... Congrats to all you American people around here with your new president!! Let's hope he can put those bold, brave words into action

I want to congratulate the Americans with their new president. I hope he will make your dreamscome true. Pete Seeger Bruce Springsteen:

James Taylor- John Legend - Jennifer Nettles: (on the stage is James' wife singing together with James' background singer before John Legend and Jennifer Nettles comes on stage)
Bruce Springsteen (not very good view)

No, but when she just sang, at the inuagrua-something-someting (that word is much to difficult for me to type) she sounded like Donald Duck ops: Maybe 'cos she's 'old', But she's 66, just like Paul. But Paul doesnt sound Donaldish, though.

You are on the first page! This is a very historic day for the world. We started a new thread. I like Aretha Franklin, but I haven't listened much to her lately. I haven't seen her performance yet, but it's probably already on YouTube.
