The death of Greg Allman, 69, was announced today, May 27. He sure sang with tons of "blue eyed soul" and had some great songs I wish he could have stuck around much longer

I found out about it here at AROTR from a woman sitting next to me between the Mark Lindsay and Grass Roots concerts. Sad news. ETA: To Ringo and Susy, 2 "g's" in Gregg.

I never knew my life without the existence of The Allman Bothers Band music. This music makes being a Southerner in the USA a proud thing to be. I will never forget seeing them in concert. A great experience. One of my all time favorite songs, and there are so many, that always brought me Joy. Blue Sky
