DavidP:
Paul knows more about being an artist than some hack on a message board, so I'll leave it to him to decide what works best.
It's so nice to see you resorting to your usual insults if people don't agree with you.I certainly will not respond to you in an equally dismissive way. I'll concede generally Paul does know best, but nobody is infallible, and the setlist is one area that could be better.I'm not going to go into the details as i've been down this road before, but it could be fresher.

MOD POST Please leave these arguments out of this topic now. The members from Halifax, and those that spent considerable sums visiting the locality, deserve a place where they can celebrate and reflect on their special night with Paul on Halifax Commons. This is one thread where this regular debate about Paul' set list choices can continue: http://macca.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=70645 The Mod team may begin removing posts if this request is not respected. Thank you Martin Update. In our continued effort to encourage members take this set-list discussion to another thread, a series of posts that continued beyond this post have now been removed.

The show was terrific! We did get "Daytripper" and "Mull of Kintyre"! The weather was perfect. Paul sounded great. It was another fun time for me and my friends. One interesting thing...during the encore Nancy joined Paul on stage... Okay, she wasn't really out there on stage with him, but from my angle it sure looked like it. The spotlight just seemed to catch her at times, and the observant me just took the photo when I noticed it (I think I got about 7 photos where it looks like she was on stage). Very cool. Anyone know who the other girl is? Podgie (back from another great time!) Monkey

What a great photo. No idea who the other girl is unless she is with Brian or Rusty??

I was told I was the first to show(the first ticket holder) up at the common, I arrived at the airport on Thursday night around 10:15. I spent that night at the common(in my sleeping bag, on the ground) The first light of day I walked to the store for a coffee and danish then walked back and hung around while they set things up on stage then I walked to the ticket office and picked up my ticket, I was so amazed by all the different scenes I took alot of pix almost running the battery down in my camera, I shut it down to save something for the show as I didn't bring any fresh batteries. I walked back to the common and relaxed a bit in the grass until the security ran everyone out. That was ok I needed to go to the store and get some things. The last time I went for a walk when I came back there was a metal barrier across the walk way, I found out that it was because Paul was due in that end of the common at anytime. So I waited and in a short time I heard sirens coming...it was the motorcade coming, I shot some film of them coming through, but Paul was on the wrong side and I don't think I got a good shot of him. I went back to the gates they had set up and waited awhile, a few other people showed up and we all listened to the sound checks, Paul's warm up was even great! Then it got late and the other people at the gates Played songs on a guitar and sang Paul's songs. I was so tired from my day I got into my sleeping bag and went right to sleep. The next morning was very exciting but I had to go the the store again by the time I got back there were a lot more people there, but many in front agreed, I was the first, and let me in front of the line, I loved all the friendly people there, we had to wait many hrs. to get in there was much confusion about how we were to proceed, bag check then we were going to have our tickets scanned but some of the gate people taking the tickets tore them instead and the dash was on , we ran to the stage at full stride, hoping to get a good spot. I got right up front just behind this woman who was bragging about all the Macca shows she was going to and stepping all over my feet! I'll make this short, the show ended and I made my way back to the hotel across the street and caught a cab to the airport as I had a 5:15 flight out to go home.Details about the show Will be later.

So how long did Paul actually play? From the moment he first hit the stage till the end of the last encore, how long was the show? Thanks, Bob

And by the way here are a few links to my photos: Flickr - has about 30 of my absolute favorites. These are the best ones I took, I think: http://www.flickr.com/photos/beatlesfan94/sets/72157621404464918/ Photobucket - around 70 photos. Includes the Flickr 30, along with 40 that I didn't think were good enough to be on Flickr. Still really good shots, though: http://s216.photobucket.com/albums/cc200/beatlesfan94/Paul%20McCartney%20Live%20in%20Halifax/ I have a lot more than that, but because I used zoom on a lot, they came out blurry. When you zoom all the way and then use the digital zoom to go in even further, it's hard to get a nice, stable shot.
Great pics! What kind of camera did you use? Thanks for sharing.

Reading about this show and watching the videos makes me all the more anxious to see him in DC. I actually thought he looked and sounded better in the youtube videos from this show , than he has the last couple of shows. I can't wait!! Just had to share my excitement.

I used a Canon PowerShot A720IS. Just a little point and shoot with good zoom. I was going to bring my film SLR, but I didn't want to risk the chance of not being able to bring it in (I didn't realize then that the security would be a joke.) Not only that, but I didn't want to mess with loading film during the concert.

Thanks! We just bought a Canon Powershot A1000is and are going to sneak it into FedEx. It has a 4X optical zoom and we are in the 7th row!

Thank you Sir Paul for the most fantastic concert I have ever had the pleasure to attend. Truly a life changing experience - when the Pipe Band walked on stage, I cried - unbelievable. Nobody can stop talking about THAT NIGHT. You gave everything to us - I was struck by your humbleness - it shone through. Thank you again - I have always been a huge fan and to see you was just so amazing. Please come back.

took the stage at 9:14PM, left the stage at 11:50PM, both encores were like 3 min long at max (most likely washroom break) he's in better shape than some people half his age!

Am I just making this up in my head, or were there NO pictures of Heather (Mills) in the pre-show film? Plenty of Linda, no Heather.
