I can't find the original post that mentioned it, but I read something about an announcement this Wednesday of a US show. Are there thoughts as to what town it will be?

Based on what has been rumored in this thread my guess is New Orleans or Pittsburgh. I'm oping Pittsburgh, as that's probably the only chance I'll have to see him this year....even if it is a four hour drive....

If the Black and Gold clue from Bob doesn't apply to NOLA since another one does, the announcement must be Pittsburgh. He did two shows there in 2010, and Pittsburgh has a M.L. baseball stadium, unlike NOLA.

Last year, I remember that shows were announced sporadically. Some were announced, for example, three months in advance, and then weeks after that announcement, more dates were announced that would occur before the previously-announced dates. MaccaReport.com has archived announcements, which is where I originally read them. If only one date is released on Wednesday, I wouldn't be surprised.

yeah...that's become a bad habit of theirs.
You could make plans to attend a show that perhaps involves more traveling & more money...then you turn around & he could be playing right in your own state. -

Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lubbock_High_School Most of those clues are there. Including Mac Davis and Sonny Curtis who went there, in addition to Buddy Holly. Check the school colors. Founded in 1891. Only question is, if it's Lubbock, he surely won't play the high school. Which leaves Texas Tech basketball arena or stadium. But could he sell out a stadium in that small, isolated market?

IF it is Lubbock, maybe they are banking on people coming in from Amarillo, Oklahoma City, and Dallas/Ft. Worth.

I didn't hear the announcement myself, I heard it off someone else. The only specifics were stadiums, there were multiple and it was July.

Don't you mean a series of concerts? It's still the Out There Tour from what I've been seeing.
