Mark Knopfler on Tour

Saw Mark Knopfler last night on his 2015 Tracker Tour in Hollywood at the Dolby Theater. My impression was favorable, except for some of the extended solos by his band. But I'm not much of a fan of Sea shanties or Hoedowns. Not enough of classic Dire Straits, or Mark playing guitar for that matter. But overall it was a fine concert in a fine venue, and Telegraph Road was amazing! Anyone seen Mark on tour?

He gives you what Mark Knopfler wants,not what the fans want or expect so with that in mind ive seen him on the last 2 tours and i have to say he's pretty good,the band are excellent no question about that but i would say they can edge towards "noodling" teritory for sure,which again is fine if youre in the mood for it
. No i enjoyed the privetering tour far more than the tracker tour purely becuase of the venue,last may when i sww him the venue was cavornous and only at best a third full so you had a distinct echo when the rockier numbers came aong,a couple of years ago i saw hm in the echo arena a much smaller venue,much fuller and the sound was brilliant no doubt it spoiled it for me at least. But yes Telegraph Road still amazes as a live spectacle. -
