In keeping with the rather spooky mode of this thread for meself, I decided to share my little dream story of last evening.... I was dreaming that I was in my bed when all the sudden I opened my eyes and there was a ghost like apparition suspended in mid-air peering down at me through my window! Needless to say, it was incredibly frightening!!....the person was dressed in all black, but I could see his face under his hood as plain as day....there was no question, it was no other than the illustrious GORDON SUMMNER, aka, STING!! I must have cried out a blood curdling scream, cause my girlfriend, who was spending the night came rushing in to see if I was alright!! At that point, I regained my composure and started to laugh when I realized it was just a dream and who my strange visitor was. Anyway, this morning, being in an inquisitive state and the dream being very much still with me, I decided to see if STING, in fact, had any ghost related songs and INDEED i came to find out he does. The first song I clicked onto was this one and I was totally taken aback when the picture I first opened onto was STING entirely dressed in black ...EXACTLY the way he appeared to me in my dream!!. I had never seen this picture before, I swear! ops: So here's the song that I found....I won't be forgetting this one anytime soon!! FROM THE SOUNDTRACK - DOLPHINS GHOST STORY - Sting
-
That's amazing, Cloudy!!!! I will email you about this. It's very artistic as well, this whole thing that you "dreamed up" Reminds of an Ingmar Bergman film, except your dream had a happy ending! It was one of your 'crushes'--Sting

"Mrs. Robinson" is a worthy movie theme song, it may have already been praised, here "A Hard Day's Night" is rather a corker, I'd say! Wouldn't you "Help!" is rather genuis along those lines, too "Quadraphrenia" by the Who especially "Love Reign O're Me" song "See Me, Feel Me, Touch Me, Heal Me" from the Tommy rock opera by the Who "We Don't Need Another Hero" Tina Turner from "Thunder Dome" or "Mad Max" "A Kiss to a Rose" Seal from one of the "Batman" flicks. These may have all already been cited. "Coal Miner's Daughter" Sissy Spacek from the movie of the same name

From the LAKE HOUSE Soundtrack.... THIS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE - Paul McCartney

I went to see Winter's Bone yesterday and totally fell in love with the singer in the film... Marideth Sisco!
-
Iris Dement. who sings "In The Everlasting Arms" in the new True Grit movie, is sort of fantastic at what she does

Here ya' go Suze...in case you couldn't tube it for some reason...she's got quite a voice!
-
She sounds authentic, Claudy, like she's from Butcher Hollar...I sort of favor a high pretty soprano more often than I'd want to listen to this, but this kind of thing is real nice sometimes Sounds mournful yet hopeful. Dramatic.
-
"mournful yet hopeful"....like that alot Susy Q, and yes, it makes for a really nice change listening to that....seems perfectly suited to the genre' of the film aswell.

The EXORCIST Soundtrack - 'Tubular Bells' (hauntingly beautiful somehow)
-
I love Chrissie Hynde's cover of this song.... From the Soundtrack-- EYE OF THE BEHOLDER: 'I WISH YOU LOVE' --
-
I always liked that one, too, Miss Claudy

1971's Harold & Maude is a brilliant comedy that it's hard to believe is 40 years old. Fantastic soundtrack entirely by Cat Stevens. Unfortunately only on vinyl even though (get this) it was released in 2007!! Still, get the Very Best of Cat Stevens, and watch the film!
-
I've got "Harold and Maude" on VHS. I posted a couple of the Cat songs on its soundtrack on this thread, I think (or was that for "Deep End"?). Anyway, this is an enjoyable rewarding topic.

Herc you made me laugh out loud!..(sorry!) not making fun ...I can appreciate what you're saying here tho'. I'm a very sensory person.. I can pick up vibes VERY strongly, and when I saw this movie for the first time in a theatre in New York, I literally had to leave half-way through the picture..the evil presence emitted from the film was so incredibly strong and unsettling. So, you're not alone---I only posted that song cause I do find the melody quite intriguing --totally aside from the film that is.
