Slowhand to retire?

Wow...couldn't believe the stories. Wants to retire when he's 70. http://www.inquisitr.com/1324968/slowhand-stops-strumming-eric-clapton-confirms-retirement-after-50-years-of-touring/ http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/eric_clapton_to_retire_from_touring.html

That'll make people want to see him even more when he does the "Couldn't Stay Retired Tour" in 2020. They ALL do it, it seems. That's why I'm so glad Paul never announces a farewell tour. He'll just stop when he stops.

about 8 or 10 years ago he said that this last his last tour because of the road,, he said the food gave him heart burn or something to that matter,, and can believe him that it is not that comfortable sometimes,, I can not believe the part that if he throws more money at it he takes a lost,, his ticket prices are on the upper level,, and he sells out his concerts

I think he's got four teen or pre-teen daughters with that very young Southern gal he married? Three or four daughters. Might be nearly knackered 'cause of that! (?) At the time of "Lay Down Sally" I dug it so much, wanted to be called "Sally." (LOL)

He's taking one out of the Beatles catalog "Slow Down". His website does not have any upcoming shows ... maybe he'll do like some people of fame & say, "This will be my last concert ..." for two, three, four & more times

Slowhand retiring? No way! Maybe a long break, but not retire.
