Am so thrilled, Dylan's lyrics are true poetry and better still, set to outstanding distinctive melodies Dylan deserves this great honor He's so cool they've not been able to contact him yet, verify he will attend the ceremony (according to reports) !

apparently the Nobel Prize committee has been trying to reach him for days and he won't answer/return their calls or emails.

                  Meh.

Meh Meh is an interjection used as an expression of indifference or boredom. It may also mean "be it as it may". It is often regarded as a verbal shrug of the shoulders. The use of the term "meh" shows that the speaker is apathetic, uninterested, or indifferent to the question or subject at hand. It is occasionally used as an adjective, meaning something is mediocre or unremarkable. Am sure Dylan's feelings are mutual

Heard that last night as well. They said the presentation ceremony isn't until December. He is probably still winding down from Old Chella. They are giving him $900,000 and a Gold Medallion. He'll probably write a protest song about it!

Hell, Dylan doesn't even seem to care about the prize. As of Monday it was reported that the Nobel committee hadn't even been able to reach him. And yes, I think indifference is an entirely appropriate response to this announcement.

Blowin' in the Wind How many roads must a man walk down Before you call him a man? How many seas must a white dove sail Before she sleeps in the sand? Yes, and how many times must the cannon balls fly Before they're forever banned? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind Yes, and how many years can a mountain exist Before it's washed to the sea? Yes, and how many years can some people exist Before they're allowed to be free? Yes, and how many times can a man turn his head And pretend that he just doesn't see? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind Yes, and how many times must a man look up Before he can see the sky? Yes, and how many ears must one man have Before he can hear people cry? Yes, and how many deaths will it take 'till he knows That too many people have died? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind The answer is blowin' in the wind ~ BOB DYLAN

Dylan has finally broken his silence about his big prize (A member of the Nobel group in Sweden had complained about it). Said he was "speechless" over it initially, couldn't believe it, is "amazed" and honored and thrilled, all that, and plans to be at the ceremony.

Driving around with the oldies station on (has no commercial interruptions) Dylan's "Girl From the North Country" flooded the car and overwhelmed me. He always sounded very old, even as a youth. His singing voice, and his wisdom. Sounded unique. Have caught some Dylan fever lately. All over again. It hurts that one of my sisters gave away all my Dylan albums (as well as all my other albums) to a casual boyfriend she was dating, long time ago. I was gone off somewhere. When I found out I called him to try to recover them, and he denied he had them...all were in pristine condition, too
