John Fogarty (CCR)
-
Heard John in a radio interview the other night. He has a new book out called... FORTUNATE SON My Life My Music I grew up on Creedence Clearwater Revival! An Amazing Definitive Sound in Rock History!
-
Thought it was interesting he said the worst thing that happened to Creedence Clearwater Revival was The Beatles, because they made everyone in his band think they could write songs. But truthfully the only good songwriter was John. It caused their breakup in a way, and there were bad feelings and even lawsuits for many years. I guess he never did make up with his brother before he died.

His brother was older and evidently had some problems with John being the talented songwriter and henceforth leader of the band. The Coast to Coast AM interview with George Noory is very enlightening. John said that he loved The Beatles but that Booker T and The MGs were his favorite because of their style.
