The Newark NJ shows how much Paul reads his own Website. Some great "fan" suggestions here but not one of them was done. All I wanted was My Brave Face and Put It There (from Flowers in the Dirt) and a couple of changes of Pepper Songs and I might have attended on of these shows but not now. Love the guy but he is just mailing it it.

It is a lost cause with him now BJ, just not going to happen. He is raking in the cash doing pretty much the same show and is not going to rock the boat. The boomers just can't get enough of the Beatles so they are thrilled with his concerts. I think the thing that bothers me the most is his selection of songs like "Benefit For Mr. Kite", "Temporary Secretary" and "I Wanna Be Your Man". There are so many solo songs better than these songs and like you said if you are going to do songs off "Sgt Pepper" why the heck do you pick "Benefit Of Mr. Kite"? I really think he is on another planet sometimes when he picks songs to perform live. Oh well - lol !!

The surprises are few and far between. The last real surprise was "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" with Neil Young. We get like 1 a year. Like how he dropped "Long Tall Sally" at Candlestick. And didnt he do "On My Way to Work" at one of the Pennsylvania shows? Hearing that he did "Listen To What The Man Said" earlier this week was the closest thing we've had to a setlist surprise all year. At this point I have no expectations for changes to this tour. If we're lucky, we get Rockshow at MSG. Nothing from Flowers for the remaster was a huge disappointment. But luckily we have threads like these...to dream....lol.

Unfortunately, I think that we'll wait the next tour to see new songs in the setlist. Maybe 2-3 songs from the new upcoming album and I hope 7-8 of songs never done before live from beatles, wings and solo catalogue. I would like to hear "Maxwell silver hammer" "Honey pie" and "Rocky Raccoon". Also "From me to you" would be cool, at least for the soundcheck!
