Hi all, I came across this new item on the Out There Japan Tour website. Note that this is not the unofficial fan poll that was mentioned previously on the forum, but a brand new poll on the official website of the tour, so it might be an opportunity to get something genuinely new added to the setlist. You can either vote for one of the songs listed or nominate a new song at the bottom of the page that will or may (I'm not sure) be added to the list. I nominated "Why Don't We Do It In The Road"! If you want to vote, note that it won't work when you're looking at the site via Google translate. However, if you open the translated and original pages (links for both are below) in different windows side-by-side, it's easy to figure out what to do. http://outthere-japantour.com/vote http://translate.google.com/translate?depth=1&hl=en&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=ja&tl=en&u=http://outthere-japantour.com/vote Cheers, Andrew.

hehe, of course one would have to pretend to be from Japan in the fill-out form to fill in the 'state (required) ' field which has only Japanese states

If you're attending one of the concerts, surely it's OK to list the area that you will be staying in as you will be a temporary resident of that area at the time of concert.

well i will just pretend and enter with a state because i am not even able to reach Japan in real but hopefully by voting, those getting to see such footage after those concerts will be able to enjoy some more never heard live songs when such is released online (youtube, etc.)

The Japanese are always more enthusiastic than any other fans. Why don't they do stuff like this for Paul's tours over here or the U.K.? A whole website for the tour...No wonder they get the extra bonus track!

Hmmm... This is an illusion of process. The poll lists songs that would likely be in the setlist, along with a couple of outliers like Long Tall Sally, which was performed on the US leg of the tour in Seattle, and Mull of Kintyre (which is currently winning). While one can write in votes, it likely won't be a song NOT listed here. All these songs have at the very least appeared in sound check, if not on the Out There tour setlist.

If this is legit, I'm willing to be that the results will show you why Paul doesn't drop Hey Jude or Yesterday from the set list...LOL

Will they request "Frozen Jap"-- probably not, it's got no lyrics, does it? :

Oh, no - your comments were fine (with me at least...LOL)...it's actually just a video of Paul, first describing the song 'Frozen Jap' to a Japanese journalist and then his experience in Jail as well as his attitude regarding pot According to him, the song was renamed 'Frozen Japanese' on the Japanese version of McCII

Definitely! It was the leading song a few weeks go. I wonder what happened to it...or am I thinking of another Japanese poll?

My vote is for "No more lonely night" in alternative "Tug of war" because No more lonely night is very hard to sing now for Paul!

Most fans disagree with me, but it's my opinion that Paul reached his peak as a skillful singer in the '80s, so I get your point.

10 years ago even, he could have done No More Lonely Nights quite well. Now? Not so much.

is this a JOKE? The songs that appears with more votes are the ones he has been playing during this tour!! Japanese fans should know that. If the 'winner' is 'Listen to What the Man said', for example, what's the point? Check out the scores: LISTEN TO WHAT THE MAN- 98 VOTES I SAW HER S T- 96 VOTES MULL OF K- 93 VOTES YOUR MOTHER S K- 63 VOTES EIGHT DAYS- 51 VOTES GET BACK- 51 VOTES HI HI HI- 48 VOTES LONG TALL SALLY- 47 VOTES LOVELY RITA- 44 VOTES MAGICAL M T- 39 VOTES NEW- 28 VOTES RAM ON- 26 VOTES MICHELLE- 22 VOTES ALL TOGETHER NOW- 15 VOTES MR KITE- 14 VOTES I don't see 'No More Lonely Nights', 'Take it Away', etc, listed, so, I think this is a scam, he's going to play ANY of thoese songs and people are going to say: The winner was X and Paul played it live in Japan! nahhh!!
