I think they are very talented. Anybody else like them? Apparently they're getting ready to tour Europe and have already sold out in some venues in the UK. Anybody going to see them? http://thecivilwars.com/tour.php Mods, please don't combine this b/c nobody responded to the other one.

They're kind of weird, but in a good way, perhaps. See them perform their version of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" on YouTube vids on acoustic guitar with a peculiar arrangement and the woman singer's erie unearthly vocals, plus they look kind of old-timey. Unusual, striking. But perhaps their song stylings leave me a bit nauseous and queasy like that other newish country band singing "If I Die Young." With a bit of a country gothic tinge. A little bit icky (to me).

Susy, thanks for commenting. They ARE different, but very talented, imo. Their vocals mesh so well. She's from California and sang pop, but met him at a recording studio in Alabama through a mutual friend, if I remember correctly, gave country a stab and here they are. I think they are married to other people. Not a couple, but they have chemistry.

I find them disquieting. Unless this is a band. Then I have never heard of them.

They are. Yes. There's tension in their lyrics, music, videos. Works for me.
