Saw this on youtube and was floored. Billie Joe, of Green Day fame, and Norah Jones, daughter of Ravi Shankar, sound absolutely awesome together. It's like they were made to sing together. If the entire album sounds as good as this, we are in for treat. They cover an entire Every Brothers album entitled 'Songs Our Daddy Taught Us.' The album comes out November 26th in the US. First single from the album is called "Long Time Gone."

Have you seen this video involving Norah Jones and a couple of other folks you've probably heard of? LOL

I don't like Billie Joe's thin, sharp, reedy singing voice at all, but perhaps somehow when enmeshed with Norah's he sounds a lot better? Why does Norah never mention her father is the late Ravi Shankar? I found that info a little staggering when I first learned it--and that reportedly Ravi had a one night stand with her mother, in Texas! I'd never associated Ravi Shankar with such behavior, frankly. I'd ascribed a certain deep spirituality to him. Just for being Hindu, I suppose, which is dodgy. Just because one has a vast great tradition of one of the world's greatest religions in his background doesn't mean he'll be "perfect." I'd found more truth in Vedanta Hinduism than anywhere else.
