Ok. So in 2012, Paul went to see Kanye and Jay-Z's Watch the Throne Tour. It was the hottest tour of the year. In this article, http://ultimateclassicrock.com/paul-mccartney-kanye-west-explained/ Paul says that before he goes out on a new tour, he likes to see other people's tours to get ideas. On the Watch the Throne Tour, Jay-Z and Kanye both used a platform just like the one Paul is using now, on the Out There Tour. Note that Paul was planning the Out There Tour when he saw WTT, and from that show he got the idea (presumably) of a rising platform. Flash forward to 2015. In July, Paul attended a NY performance of U2's "iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE" Tour, the hottest tour of 2015. (I was there a few nights afer Paul). The show uses see-thru video screens and a b-stage, as well as a revolutionary 360 degree sound system which equally sends the music to the venue, instead of just blasting it from the front of the stage. Recently, Carlos (5thBeatle) heard from a friend that they are planning on re-tooling Paul's show for 2016. One wonders if Paul will utilize some of U2's incredible technology on his upcoming jaunt.

      7/15/11- Yankee Stadium
      6/8/13- Barclays Center
      7/5/14- Times Union Center
      8/7/16- MetLife Stadium
      9/15/17- Madison Square Garden

      Thank you Paul!

Please excuse the degrees of separation, but from a reliable source on Paul's crew, they are getting ready to re-tool the whole show. I interpret that to mean stage/lighting/effects etc. The good news is it sounds like there must be plans for more shows in the forseeable future."

I don't see Paul doing something as elaborate as U2's current tour. However, I could see him use a B stage and some cool visuals beyond what he is doing now. And a re vamped sound system.

On the strictly musical creative side, one hopes the band is working on some "new" different songs to include on the setlist. One feels that they are

...but it will be a foot less wide, so those in the audience will no longer be an eternity away from him...just a mere world away.

The same designer who creates Paul's shows and tours also designs shows for Beyonce, Nine Inch Nails, and Bruno Mars. As far as the U2 show is concerned, the technology they used (especially the transparent screen) had been used by Paul's designer with Nine Inch Nails shows since 2008. If Paul wanted to utilize this technology, he had plenty of opportunities to.

I don't see Paul doing what U2 does. He is pretty comfortable with what he is doing. It looks pretty much like the 1989 and 1993 tours, which are the templates for what he does now. Which is pretty cool!

I don't see Paul doing what U2 does. He is pretty comfortable with what he is doing. It looks pretty much like the 1989 and 1993 tours, which are the templates for what he does now. Which is pretty cool!

Agree. Paul McCartney concerts are (should be) first snd foremost about the music. I couldn't give a fat rat's tossbag about the lights, screens, bells and whistles. Paul walks on. Paul sings. Folks are happy.

^^Bah Hah ROFLMAO^^ I mean seriously it is about the music

Yes. That is the point of my post.
