Australia is a given. Whether it's March or later this year is moot.

I really doubt L.A. and San Diego are going to be played, as the Indio show is designed to pull from those 2 cities. The Coachella Festival normally has a clause that doesn't allow artists to play in L.A. or San Diego within a couple months of the festival and I assume those rules are in play here..
I know about that rule, but that is for "regular" Coachella which features lots of bands. These are 6 of the biggest musicians in the world and to make this show happen, it is possible that the promoters would waive that clause for this show.
Even if they do, I doubt Paul will play L.A. and San Diego. After all the money people will be spending to see the Indio show, it makes more sense for him to play those cities next year or later. I would think it would only a small percent of people buying Indio tickets would then also shell out for LA or San Diego happening just a few days later. If he blows away people at the show in Indio to a crowd of 70,000, he should have great tickets sales for these cities next year. It's just asking too much for people to pay for Indio, then hundreds more to see him the next week. His sales will not be as strong as if he just holds off until 2017.
You're talking about Southern California, which has about 20 million people in the L.A., San Diego, Orange Co., Riverside, San Bernadino metro area. If Coachella is a sell-out (and don't forget people will be flying in for this one), any of these guys could easily do some other shows in the area. If they felt like it. You see guys like McCartney and the Stones add shows all the time if the first one sells out. It's just a thought. Though both Paul and the Stones have played L.A. and S.D. in the last two years.
I live in L.A., so I'm aware of the population in the area, but I really doubt Paul will add another Southern California show. He could have easily had one before Fresno last month, but chose not to. Perhaps this was because of Desert Trip? He may fill the gap between Indio and Mexico City with a show somewhere, but could easily just not, as 3 Mexico shows give him 6 shows in October. If he did add an LA show, I would go to it, along with Desert Trip, but I would prefer he save LA itself for next year. No need to over saturate the area this fall. I really believe that Goldenvoice is going to have the same clause they do with Coachella. They do allow acts to play other local shows around that festival, but never the headliners. The Who is playing Southern California in a couple of weeks and Dylan is playing here in June, but that's far away timewise from the festival Reportedly the Rolling Stones are going as far as making the Indio show their only show in the Western USA, with the remainder of their October and November dates in the Northeast.

OK, so it was a joke. I thought I'd missed some important developments or something.

Anyone heard anything about possibly Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, etc this year? Seems Paul is touching a lot of the US, but avoiding the southeast so far. Is that yet to come or off the tour?

^ omg. talk about having a large footprint!

Of course, nothing is predictable. They could keep going in October from Las Vegas back across the Southwest/South. Only thing 99% sure: nothing in North Carolina.

He really cares about his fans in the Rocky Mountain region. : I guess we are all supposed to travel to see his amazingness!
Of all the times I have seen him, only once did I not have to travel at least 100 miles or more to see him. I look at it like, he came thousands of miles to play for us. Seems only fair to go a few hundred to see him if I want to see him bad enough. I've only regretted doing it once, and that's only because I didn't plan for work far enough ahead.

From this map, he's crossing over Denver twice. When does he land there?

Gee, you're right. If Paul McCartney is going to come ALL THAT WAY to perform, the LEAST I can do is travel and meet him in the middle.

You would have to think that there would be another show or two scheduled inbetween the festival weekends. Maybe Vegas?
