Just curious. Who is usually in the front row, center stage for Sir Paul's concerts? Is it friends, charities, celebrities? Or is it local politicians's families, radio station or PR staff's friends, etc. Personally I'm hoping that it is charities or people pushing for a better environment on all levels along with personal friends ('cause friends make the show personal and more intimate). Being new to this forum I have noticed all the signatures that list all the shows y'all have been to, so who better to ask? So what's the story if I may enquire?

While I cannot certainly tell you who is front centre I can relate that at Paul's regular London shows at the O2 Arena all his family, friends, staff and press/trade connections have a side arena block reserved. Paul's family, which is now an extensive brood with many young children, file in - Mary, Stella, James etc with partners. Stella seems to act like the Mother Hen popping in and out for drinks, crisps etc. It's a party and they seem determined to enjoy it. At that venue the front row file in quite late in the proceedings suggesting they are purchasers of the VIP package with sound check. In the past when Paul was filming for his videos, photogenic and lively fans were bumped up to front row from various places in the arena. But with the introduction of the regular VIP and soundcheck deals that practice seems to have ended. The front rail is always crowded with banner waving fans making for a lively interaction with Paul and the band on stage - so it seems unlikely that anyone in that immediate vicinity have been gifted tickets for corporate reasons. Most venues these days have corporate boxes with hospitality and it's there you might find the type of guest you describe. Martin

What a great description! Sounds like he likes to make sure its a party zone. It's good to know it isn't all corporate, lol. Some of the fans on this site have talked about the banners they are making for the concert, soooooo maybe a couple will be bumped up to row one!

How cool is that? I love it! Hope they continue that method! I've got 3rd row center so I'm fine where I am and lol, while I'm waiting for the show to start I'll watch the fun of seeing who the lucky ones are. I bet they're going to be beyond thrilled!

I don't think so. The Front Row VIP package is for front row SIDE, not center stage. And we've already had one fan who got front row center on a fan pre-sale so don't be envious, lol, okay maybe just a little envious is okay.

Yay!!! That's what I thought when I got my 3rd row center ticket. I gotta ask though how did you do it? Were they side seats? Were they front center? VIP? Amazing!

Two thousand dollars seems very expensive for a front row side seat. I would rather be on third or fourth row center and get a better view for a lower price. Anyway, since there are no chairs on the field over here, we have to run towards the stage and hope to get a good spot standing at the grid/rail. That usually happens to those who wait a long time in line or buy a Hot Sound package.

Yeah, I bought the Hot Sound VIP for just that reason. It cost a lot but this is my first ever Paul McCartney concert. I've bought all his albums over the years, then eight tracks, then cassettes, then CDs, now I'm buying them all again on iTunes, lol. : So the secret to getting the up front area of an arena show is to be in good shape, wear running shoes and then it's, "On your mark,.....get set,.....GO! They should make a video of that moment. Once you've claimed your front spot are you able to leave and then return, say if you want a coke or snack? I guess you can't, so do you load your pockets with power bars and carry a bottle of water? Your photo shows that you're in good shape, I bet you're up at the front pretty consistent.......

I've always wondered where the ticket locations are for the tickets the radio stations give away.

Good question, I've wondered about that too. Maybe some of the lucky winners will chime in on that here.
