Sometimes you just know an album track would have been a number one Through Our Love

It's a gorgeous production. That's its strength. Its weakness, unfortunately (please don't hate me), is that the song... well ... is... over-arranged. The melody is too faint, perhaps lost in the lush production -- I don't know, but it's barely discernible to my ears.

Only Mama Knows should have been the first single from Memory Almost Full IMO.

Might've been, had it not been for that fantastic iTunes tv ad using "Dance Tonight." I suppose that "Only Mama Knows" could've worked just as easily, though.

Maybe I'm Amazed, with Every Night as the B-side, should have been released as a single in 1970. It would have knocked off Let it Be as the new #1. Macca wasnt thinking straight back then.

Without any question... What It Is from Run Devil Run. A McCartney original, catchy as hell and rocks it.

Agree 100%, another song that I thought would have made a good concert opener.

                              Maybe I'm amazed !!

I'm sort of glad he waited to release the live version of that song from "Wings Over America" as a single. (At least I think he did. It got played all the time on the radio. Still does on classic rock.) That's the definitive version for me.

Actually Maybe I'm Amazed in it's original incarnation should DEFINITELY have been released in 1970. It would have shut up a lot of the public slating Paul for a while, would have been a clear number one and would be remembered as even more of a classic then it already is. It stands up there with McCartney's previous powerhouses like Let It Be, Long and Winding Road and is a much better progression from those last Beatles singles and would begin the start of his solo singles career with much more of a bang than Another Day. Which is of course also a terrific song.
