That is awesome; too bad this will never happen with Ringo at a Ringo Starr album signing. I'm not bitter, I'm one of the few that buy a Ringo album that has about 15 seconds of relevance before being forgotten. Congrats to all that met him. I'd just be happen being on the sidelines watching him interact with this fans.

So he signed for about 111 people? Is that right?

Does anybody think that Ringo would do a signing like this in the UK ? Would people camp out over night etc to see him and get his autograph ? I wonder if he does stuff like this in the States ?

He's unveiling the deluxe version of his book in LA on Wednesday, but it's not a signing. You won't be able to meet him unless you pay for the super-duper-high-stakes package. http://www.amoeba.com/blog/2013/10/amoeba-music/ringo-starr-s-photograph-book-launch-events-in-hollywood-october-23.html?utm_source=101513Newsletter&utm_medium=Email&utm_content=Whats+New&utm_campaign=Ringo+Starr parlance

Yeah, that's what I said. I only bought the $40 ticket. And now that I re-read the descriptions, it appears you don't get to meet Ringo even at the top level. Looks like that professional portrait is of you with your art print, not you with Ringo. parlance

Wow as I said the price is crazy. Just seen that a signed CD like mine from Friday but without dedication went for £922 on ebay last night and another one for nearly £600 earlier. They can't be true fans I'd never sell mine. My kids will inherit my stuff.

think he signed less , because a guy was saying he was number 50 (reserve) and didn't make it and also 6 people ahead of him, so I think Paul did only 60 winners + 42 on the reserve

Just to clarify, it seems most competition winners who turned up were signed. So say 60, as there were also a couple from "reserve" queue who sneaked in to "competition" queue....as well as a chap who is always at these signings(you know who you are!) Let's go with 60 competition winners at this stage. I was first in "reserve" queue. I knew the script. It was a risk. I queued for 40 hours in London. I figured there would be little point flying down on Thursday morning or thereafter, so arrived at 11.45 pm on Wednesday 16/10/13 from Aberdeen.I gave up 2 days work and any later I guestimated would be just too risky. Sorry I know people were upset, but it is Paul McCartney we are talking about here! No sympathy for locals,as most reserves I spoke to travelled a considerable distance too. HMV made it ABUNDANTLYclearcompetition winners guaranteed, reserves at Paul's or MPL discretion. This was repeatedly reinforced by them verbally and via the web, so please give them a break!!! I earned my luck by camping for 2 nights and more . I was signed at 15.43, last reserve signing being just before 1600. This was 2 after another Scottish lad and he was number 28. Hence 90 in total were signed. There were some decent folk in that queue, spirits were good and remember this was principally an internet competition, so Paul did not need to sign for me nor anyone else in reserve queue and I understood that BEFORE I booked my flight. THANKS HMV! Yes things could perhaps have been improved, but on the whole numbers were to be originally controlled from within the store via the winning entries!!! MPL no doubt felt they would have to oblige extras. They did...... a further 50%. That is more than fair. Yes I understand the tears, I know what it means to those who just lost out. Chin up! Hey,I wish I lived in London! Please, please.....just LET IT BE! Anyway Phil, bad dancing, but hilarious! D

I have a feelin that the signing was stopped on police orders, am trying to write up the signing at the moment but have a right stinker of a cold. And a certain someone has not been around with hot veggie soup, the bugger. Macarrow timings have reinforced this feeling. How much did they go for, I have a credit card to clear.

The £922 pound cd signed was definitely from this event. It had with it the receipt £9.99 deluxe vesion and it also came with a black wristband so must have been from the reserve queue. Another one I saw on ebay said it had been dedicated as that is all Paul was doing but this ebay person said that he had managed to remove the dedication ? Don't know how you could do that whan a sharpie had been used. The £922 cd didn;t have a dedication on so maybe that was removed on this one as well. It would seem a number of make a big profit ebayers where queing or won a wristband to the event.

ta stuart if I remember right electric only went for £500-£600 but there were quite a few that went on ebay from that. Not so many this time so supply smaller I presume. mine is dediciated with lots of kisses and hugs. ok I may have added the kisses and hugs.

You know one ebayer had a picture of two cd's on ebay. One was dedicated one wasn't. He said in his selling description that the competition winners got to take a friend in so in effect could get a cd signed each. That's news to me being a competition winner ? He also said he said to Paul that his friend couldn't come so could he sign the extra cd for him which he said Paul looked a bit annoyed but signed it without a dedication this was the one he was selling for about £600. He said he was keeping the dedicated one for himself he also had a picture of his wristband etc but that was for proof only and was not for sale. Seems to me he must have just took 2 cd's up and managed to get them both signed always planning to sell one on for a massive profit. It's just not fair on proper fans and you wish these type of people would get found out at the time and thrown out..

We were told at first in the morning when let into the store that 2 cds would be signed but about 10 minutes later only one would be signed and that was reiterated several times during the day. Those cd's sound dodgy to me.

Hi they were definitely not dodgy. The guy chanced his luck to get 2 cd's signed and managed it. You could tell by the proof he was showing on the listing that they were genuine. He had the wristband and also a photograph of the receipt showing 2cd's purchased.
