Spotted this today while doing my usual daily 'Paul McCartney Google trawl' and thought it looked interesting: http://www.liverpoolconfidential.co.uk/entertainment/paul-mccartney-i-came-in-this-to-get-out-of-having-a-job-and-to-pull-birds

I saw a blurb about this book about 6 weeks ago. Looks like a very intriguing book. I thought I'd have to pre-order from Amazon UK, but Amazon US finally has the pre-order link up.

In those photos with the article, I wish he was smiling. It makes him look younger. Looks like an intriguing book!

I've had the book on pre-order with Amazon for a couple of months now....I just hope there isn't a last minute delay..
-
Just ordered paperback

I discovered Paul DuNoyer when I subscribed to the GREAT "Q" magazine back in he 1980's. He's a terrific music journalist. Can't wait to read this book!
-
I think this will be a real must. Du Noyer contacted me a while ago, telling me that my book "Paul McCartney: Recording Sessions (1969-2013)" is quoted in the bibliography of his volume. What a thrill and a honor!

I think it would be more of an honor to read "Recording Sessions" which I hope to buy before the end of the year. I've only heard positive things enough to want to get a copy! I just saw "conversations" at Foyles today in hard cover for £25. I'd rather reserve the book from the library than own it.

Holy crap! That's over $40! We can get it here in paperback (new) for $18.24 + $3.99 S&H from an Amazon seller. ETA: I just ordered it!

I'de be happy. Paul du Noyer was very nice, and contacted me personally to say that he enjoyed the book very much and to inform that it has been included in the bibliography.

The book store had at least two hardcover but no soft covers. There's an excerpt in Novembers Mojo, which is great as I'm not going to consider getting the book right away as £25 is not what I planned to spend. I've added Luca's book to my Amazon wish list, I'm currently reading "Fab" by Howard Sounes and got a reading list of other McCartney/Beatles books to get through first. There are quite a lot to choose from and some are of better value than others. This interviews book just doesn't rank too high with me for now.

as a serious Beatlebook addict, I am trying not to buy this yet

Hadn't seen this podcast anywhere on here so thought I'd post link. Comes from a book by Paul Du Noyer, 'Conversations with McCartney' Great to hear Mark Ellen is such a McCartney fan! Has anyone got the book? Any thoughts? http://wordpodcast.co.uk/ Some really warm observations and really great to hear such enthusiasm for Paul's solo work!!

Mine is on order from Amazon, but haven't received it yet.

Got my copy yesterady. Nice book, which gives us a lot of new perspectives on Paul and also focuses a lot on his solo career and with Wings. Elegant layout (I chose to get the hardcover). And...yes, what a thrill to see my name and my book Paul McCartney: Recording Sessions (1969-2013) printed on the acknowledgments! Du Noyer quotes six books that he found particularly useful in his research: - Mark Lewisohn, All These Years, Vol.1, Tune In - Ian Mac Donald, Revolution in the Head - Paul McCartney, Each One Believing - Barry Miles, Many Years From Now - Ian Peel, The Unknown Paul McCartney - Luca Perasi, Paul McCartney: Recording Sessions (1969-2013) I'm in good company, isn't it?
