New was the 52nd biggest album in the world during 2013? Wow, that's great to hear. Quite an achievement!

Carlos, my man, you have to quit drinking. Too much tequila will damage your brain cells!

'Coming Up' was on the radio 24x7 here in the States in the Summer of 1980. Got overplayed, imo, especially after it was performed on SNL. Rolling Stone review absolutely trashed it, but of course, he never got the point of the album. Very few of the critics got it in fact.

Like a few of Macca's so called lesser albums I find that with time and on reflection they improve greatly in my opinion. About 5 years ago I decided to revisit McCartney II and found I could appreciate tracks I didn't like so much like Bogie Music & Temporary Secretary. Even Darkroom, while still a throwaway, still has a quirky charm to it.

Listen to the song they sing,
                  Awakening

Nice Youtuber's review of the remastered version of the album. Like many in 1980, he didn't care for McCartney II -- today, he acknowledges what a brilliant album it is: Paul McCartney 2 Archive Edition Box Set:
