Leaving a HUGE hug here for Paul... The breakup news was sad enough for his fans - didn't we all believe he'd be with someone he loved at 64? God bless Paul, Beatrice and the rest of his children.

Paul, I was re-reading a favorite poem of mine and part of the second verse reminded me so much of you - especially now. It's from Kipling's "If"... "If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two imposters just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build'em up with worn-out tools..." I'm sure you know the poem and the point is that if you can achieve all of these "ifs", then you have become a man. Well, Paul you epitomize this whole poem. You are a true gentleman.

Paul continues to be an example to all of us. He carries that weight on his shoulder with dignity. I just wish I could return the happiness to him that he has given to me.

Paul...you are in my thoughts and prayers. I sometimes feel like you are part of my family because I grew up with you! I remember watching you on "The Ed Sullivan Show" with my dad and mom and now they are both gone, my mom just a few months ago. When I first heard the new about you and Heather, I wanted to cry for you but I was teaching a class of kindergarten children and didn't feel it was appropriate! I must tell you though that I have thought so much about what you are going through. I don't have words that could adequately express myself and I've never gone through a divorce so I can't relate on that level with you. All I can say is that you are loved by millions. Thank you for the great concert experience you gave to me this year, for the amazing new CD that I listen to regularly, for all the Beatle music that I never tire of, and for the role model you have been to me all the years of my life. Yes, I am a fan but even more, a person who has remained loyal to you, not just because of the music but because of the man behind the music. God bless you during this time and I'm thankful you have a great family behind you. Good luck in all that faces you in the days ahead. We love you, Paul. Mary Ann
