Amazing ... I just saw this 15 minutes ago! Still listening to it and thought of sharing it with you... First I thought it is just another ordinary cover band. But Wow! what an amazingly strong production and performance! I could not turn it off! of course no one can top Paul's vocals ever in a matter of beauty and power! but the music here and the performance... these guys should have done (the art of McCartney) album. with all respect to big names who have made it (which 90% were very weak). These very talented guys here breath pure McCartney air and art. they made me discover again how beautiful McCartney's composition, art and melody is.

      Enjoy!

      Love is all you need

I've come back to the YouTube videos of Pure McCartney countless times. They're exceptional. Ram isn't my favourite McCartney album, but this performance made me see it in a different light. Sometimes, hearing song covered by another artist helps me to appreciate just how good that song is - particularly when it's in a live context. The passion in their rendition of Uncle Albert / Admiral Halsey is infectious.

I've always liked the line about hands across the water, hands across the sky.

I agree with you totally, I was never a huge RAM fan but this was fantastic. IMO- Mr. McCartney's songs almost always sound better live and this proved the point. I now wish Mr. McCartney would do a song like "Dear Boy" live.

              Maybe I'm amazed !!

I just have one word--WOW! That was one of the coolest concerts I've seen in a long time. They left out no small detail. Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey was the highlight for me. Thanks for sharing!!

I still dont get why Paul has never played Uncle Albert live?!? Yet, he'll play dreck like Mr. Kite.

I was lucky about a year ago to see one of the guys (Mike Viola) who performed on the "Pure McCartney" show at another benefit show in L.A. Here's his AMAZING rendition of "Oh! Darling":

Still only hits 28% of what Paul knocked out with his vocal for this song. Just makes me appreciate how wonderful/timeless/special that vocal was from Paul.
