As I said, it's all about the JOY! Have fun Podgie, I wish I could go to Poland too, my Dad (RIP) was born there and it would have been great to go there to see where he was born and put the icing on a cake with a Paul show (it's Dad's birthday today 6/13).

Have fun in Poland, Podgie! And as others have said, seeing Paul is important to me, and who knows when it's going to be the last time? I already know he's not going to change his setlists, but each concert is different in its own way. If I can combine a concert with a trip to a new city, then it becomes a great vacation or getaway weekend! I've also traveled to see Paul's classical events. Seeing friends or family during travels and at shows is also part of the fun. And I do like a lot of other artists and I see lots of other concerts, both at home and in other cities. Everyone has their "thing." Some people pay big money (check out StubHub prices for Stanley Cup or NBA Finals to see what I mean!) and travel far for sporting events, to follow their team. That is not my personal "thing" because I can sit at home and watch most of those games for free on TV. But I understand that some people have to be there in person. And I cannot see Paul concerts on TV 😉 ; so if I want to see him, I have to make it happen.

A big reason for me going to Poland is that my father was Polish also! I've learned a lot about my Polish heritage thanks to my friend in Poland. My father was a prisoner of war in Russia during WWII, his part of Poland became part of Russia (BellaRussia) after the war. He and his family lost everything. When the Russians released there Polish prisoners he went with the Polish forces ending up in a Polish RAF squadron in England. He met my Mother who was in the Land Army at Milden Hall. The rest is history. So I have both Polish and English roots, although I was first generation born in USA. 😊 What is funny is that I also related to one of Polands most famous movie actresses, Jadwiga Smosarska. I didn't realise her fame until my friend in Poland sent me a hardcover book about her.😊 So the Polish show is very special for me, and it's both Mine and my friends birthday on day of show! Seems more than cooincidence! Podgie (I hope everyone sings Sto Lat to us!) Monkey😄😎👍

If I could afford to see more than one show or go jetting around, I'd see more than one show per tour. As it is I can't see this tour. But if I could I would. Why? Because it's Paul Frickin' McCartney, that's why. Because he's a Beatle and Living Legend, and he wrote all those songs. And he's a damn great performer to boot! I don't care what his setlist is, I am amazed every time!

            Well Said!

7/14/14 Lincoln Nebraska ... MET PAUL!!!

I heard someone put it brilliantly once??When you go to an amusement park, do you go on a great ride get off and say ?Okay, let?s go home?!? No, of course not. You say ?Hey, that was Super! I wanna do it again!? Same with Paul?s shows. I can hear the songs a million times and not get sick of them. That doesn?t mean I wouldn?t rather have some different songs that I haven?t heard him do before in the show. For myself, and many friends, shows are an event. I place to meet up with friends and have a great time! It is my time off from work. I saw Paul in Orlando, and spent a day at Universal Studios. I saw Paul in Memphis and went to Sun Studios, The Rock n Soul Museum, Beal Street, and Graceland. It is my fun time off. Also, it has to do with dopamine in your brain, a great feeling! Yeah, I want to do it again! I just hope the park never closes! I'm psyched for my European Trip to start, and Fenway and DC in July. Podgie (One of the Fans On The Run Gang) Monkey

That's exactly how I feel. I wanna do it again! Enjoy Europe!

I am on my way tonight, should be in Poland tomorrow afternoon! A week seeing sights, and the show in Warsaw (on my birthday!). Fly to London, then Verona Italy for an unbelievable show in an Ancient Roman Amphitheatre, then back to England for a few days ("Mrs Browns Boys" at the O2)...then home. What a great vacation. The whole trip is meeting up and hanging out with friends in those countries. BTW, all made possible because of this Web Forum!!! I am psyched! I should say that as a single Dad, I spent much of my life taking care of my daughter. School events, Baton Twirling, Dance, Gymnastics, and her passion Figure Skating. I never started traveling to shows till she was out of High School and off to College (which I put her through). Now it is my time to enjoy myself. No two shows are truely the same. Seeing the greatest artist performer of our time. Podgie (must have more...dope-a-mine!!!!....) Monkey

When your right ..., your right! Enjoy ! I'm sure it's going to be an awesome trip!

I'm not too far from Mildenhall i'm in Bury St Edmunds. They're still military connections at Mildenhall, they have a RAF base there. I'll be in Verona with Love2Travel to see Paul, looks like the weather will be patchy, there could be lightning, which is a blow as we are there for nearly 3 days.

I've only done that once for the Up and Coming Tour. I saw in Toronto, and then took the family to see him in Montreal. But the Montreal date was also my birthday. It was a great day for me.

Paul will never and I mean , never play a gig on my birthday!! 'Cause..he never works on his birthday..

Funny, June 18th is my brother's birthday but he is a big Beach Boy (Brian Wilson) fan.

                    Brian Wilson's birthday is June 20, 1942.

To me it's the best thing money can buy. Thats why I dont spend money on lesser things. Do you kiss your wife/girlfriend once and call it a life? Or do you do it again, and again...

I saw the 2nd Orlando show, but I still find myself wishing to go to the Milwaukee show. Miller Park is where my favorite team plays and Milwaukee is where my family is, so it seems kind of a no-brainer to go. But even though it can be cheap, it still costs some $$$

It's all about the joy! When I travel to see Paul I pick a city where A. I can pull a great ticket, and B. it is an interesting travel destination so I can do other stuff. Like when he was in LV I went to the grand canyon the next day.

Do you kiss your wife/girlfriend once and call it a life? Or do you do it again, and again...

Kissing is more like a standard seat.... Now, the soundcheck package....

What package were you referring to?

I wanted to do this very badly on this current tour, but I was on vacation during both of the NYC gigs, so we splurged with our first gold package at National's Park. BUT, I did this in 2009 because Paul annoucened the Citi Field shows before the Fedex Field show and we already had tickets to NY but I just HAD to go to the local Paul show! So we had our $175 field tickets at Citi Field...and our $30 nosebleeds at fedex
