Please help me find a Macca friendly pub in London
-
Hey la, hey la hey-lo! I will be in London on June 18th and, even though I know our beloved wont be in town (I think he'll be in Poland by then), I was wondering if anyone knows of a pub (or anyplace in London) that my be celebrating his birthday. Thanks for any help you can offer!

Seems like I on-line an Abbey Road Cafe dedicated to the Fabs from whence tours depart. They may be your best bet but I have never been there to truly know. Good luck.

Not sure but since "Bag Of Nails" was where he met Linda maybe they do something. Pub was across the street from my hotel so I went in for quick pint a year ago when I was visiting London. Pretty standard tourist pub but maybe it might be what you are looking for.

It is not the Bag O'Nails anymore. You are probably referring to the one near Victoria Station. That is not the BON in Soho that he met Linda at. There is a blue plaque up at the real location commemorating their meeting: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/njr/Paul%20McCartney%20and%20The%20Beatles/IMG_1161_zps213d3d16.jpg

I have made the same mistake also, took a few pics too!
ops: Soho does make more sense than near Buckingham Palace! Will have to ask Richard Porter to point it out, the next time I take a walking tour. The Rubens, is that the hotel with the crown carved out of greenery on the marquee? I think I have a pic of that somewhere as well.

I would actually recommend Charles Rosenay's Liverpool Productions Magical History Tour. The content of the beatletour was great, don't get me wrong, but the guy that is in charge of it, not so much! PM me if you want.

I can't see any pub celebrating his birthday to be honest. Your best bet of finding something which is Beatle/Paul friendly is in Liverpool. Hope you enjoy your stay here!
