Nice article & video: http://www.nme.com/news/alice-cooper/86333#DDMyo4YGbX3PzP6O.99 On the subject of Paul McCartney, Cooper admits that it was hard to keep cool in the studio, but that the down to earth McCartney helped keep things normal. "Paul?s a rocker man, you know. If he wasn?t in his band, he would be in a pub somewhere playing with a bunch of guys," Cooper states. "He just loves to play. You?ll look back and you?ll go ?Jesus, that guy?s a Beatle?, he wasn?t a Beatle, he was the Beatle, you know, and wrote more songs than anybody, and never has gone back on what he believes, on what he does. You know, he?s just one of the guys. He was just one of the guys in the band. So now when I see him I go, ?Vampire?. He goes, ?I?m a Vampire?. But John was a Vampire. John Lennon was one of our nightly guys. He was there every night."

Paul is only performing on 'Come And Get It'. Those playing on 'Cold Turkey' are: Vocals: Alice Cooper Guitars: Joe Perry, Johnny Depp, Tommy Henriksen Drums: Glenn Sobel Bass: Bruce Witkin

I think the mods moved that here & merged it into your thread. It was in a diff section.

"Welcome to My Nightmare" would have been a good Alice song for this album.

I was trying to make a joke. I have no idea...except I heard or read somewhere that he rejected the notion back when....as having it as a Beatles' song....as John originally wanted or thought it to be. Paul didn't think it would be in the bands' best interest to record it and didn't fit their image....or at least the one he had of the Beatles. :

Southern California doesn't seem like the ideal place for a vampire to live.

Oh yeah. Vampires are only destroyed by sunlight in the movies. According to Bram Stoker, they are only at their weakest in the noonday sun, and you can identify this fact by the way that they shuffle and mill about on the boulevard near bistros and breakfast counters in the daylight while wearing their shades. For some reason, these locations seem to attract them. http://www.ucs.mun.ca/~emiller/misconceptions.html

I don't like to think of Paul and Vampires in the same thought. Ugh.

Just heard a contest giveaway ad on KLOS radio here in L.A. about a Hollywood Vampires show at the Roxy in September. As you know, Paul plays on one of the tracks on that tribute album, "Come and Get It". Since Paul will be in L.A. in September for the PETA benefit, methinks the Hollywood Vampires show will take place around then, and Paul may make an appearance... EDIT: The shows are taking place September 16th and 17th at the Roxy.

This is the official page for The Roxy / Hollywood Vampires show. Tickets go on sale Friday, Aug. 14 at 10 A.M. Pacific Daylight Time; for a Reasonable $50 a piece. The Vampires are a somewhat naughty club and because of it, Alice seems to have misplaced Morrison and Hendrix in time; see story on page, however, maybe that was before The Vampires? When I worked at Warner/Reprise demo dept. in '77, Dennis Wilson used to pop in from the Wea side of the building and talk about The Jimi Hendrix Revival Concerts that were being planned by the company. But Dennis was joking, I think. Else, he was a Vampire too. http://www.theroxy.com/event/924643-hollywood-vampires-west-hollywood/
