My 23 yr old daughter has always (in her words) "hated" Macca. She claims she has suffered his music being forced on her all her life (which is true ). So over Christmas I heard her singing "simply having a wonderful christmastime" as she walked around the house...."what are you singing?" I asked........"Oh its that really good xmas song that gets played in the clubs and pubs every year" she replied.... "Yes Lauren IT'S PAUL MCCARTNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!" Her face was a picture I knew I could be a good mum one day

Haha, nice story! I don't have children, but I definitely want to have them someday, and yes, one of the tasks I've given to myself is raising new Beatle fans. It's good to know that even if it takes long, it is not impossible to get it

Great story! I have a 26 year old daughter named Lauren who is a lost cause! Fortunately her twin brother Kevin is a big fan and goes with me to see all the tribute bands, etc.! I even let him wear a vintage late '70's Beatles t-shirt the last time and he was so thrilled about that.

A very sweet story! My Dad raised me with The Beatles so I never knew any different. But when I was like 10 years old I began to get really hardcore into The Beatles and the individual members, esp. John and Paul. My Dad ran out and bought a whole bunch of albums for me, to 'turn me on.' It was so groovy! I will always be grateful he was so cool about The Beatles.

I can understand her not being a Macca fan, but at 23 she should be a Beatles fan! There just ain't no excuse!!!

One of my all time favorite family moments was taking my twenty-something daughters to see McCartney live in Charlotte NC several years ago.

                  Maybe I'm amazed !!

it eventually becomes a habit with repetition....
