If Paul McCartney is in the New York City area this weekend it would be great if he was a surprise guest at Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival at Madison Square Gardens on either Friday April 12th or Saturday April 13th. Clapton guested recently on McCartney's 'Kisses on the Bottom' and McCartney returned the favour on Clapton's 'Old Sock' on the track "All of Me." It would be great if McCartney guested on "All of Me" or even more so if he guested on either "Something," "All Things Must Pass" or "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" as they did together for the Concert for George back in 2002.

I thought this was a pitch for another revival of a back catalogue song

I would be most thrilled with that as I'll be attending the show tomorrow night!! If it happens though (please!), I sincerely doubt it'd be any of the standards you mention as the crowd would riot: WMGGW, however, would be a *whole lot* of awesome. From your keyboard to Macca's brain, Timmy!

LOL, that would be a nice addition to the setlist! Mildly ironic that Jane Asher appeared in it when they revived it (the TV programme, not the song).

In Scotland, it is common to hear the phrase, "We're all Jock Tamson's Bairns", meaning "we're all the same under the skin" or "we are all God's children".

I have no idea where Macca is this weekend, why should I? I'm just saying it's a nice hope. I do agree with you if Macca did guest with Eric Clapton at Crossroads Guitar Festival 2013 they should play "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." It's by far the most fitting song that they could play together. Hell, even if McCartney doesn't guest with Clapton, he should play it.
