Rumor about it being called "Pop Up"
Is that anything like the British saying someone just popped out?
-
If I believed rumors, I'd still be waiting for a song called "Bushie Tushie Jelly Jam."

Ugh....let's hope it stays a rumour then.

Title: 'I-led-you-to-believe-for-years-now-that-this-was-going-to-be-an-original-rock-album-when-really-it's-a-surprise-second-installment-of-kisses-on-the-bottom!' PLEASE NO.

I think Pop Up has some good possibilities. It's supposedly a reference to both pop-up books (which I happen to collect and love) and to today's messages etc that pop up on our phones and computers. It would also refer to pop songs on the album. I like it. I hope he gets creative with the album cover -- not just some silly picture of him in a chair but something artistic like the wonderful animation in that Linda McC Foods video or the cool Electric Arguments cover. Maybe the CD cover could have a pop up as part of the cover! The article I read on rumors about the new album also said that, besides working with the 4 different producers, Paul had also produced some tracks himself. I really am looking forward to seeing the end result of all this. Could be a very strange album, and I like strange Paul albums. The stranger, the better.

I read a quickie interview where Paul disliked using the word "pop" to refer to his songs in his new album. If he doesn't even like using the word aloud, then I doubt it'll be in his album name.

Pop Up does have some neat possibilities, but I don't think it will be used. Why? Because a lot of time Album names get abbreviated, ie. BOTR. Could you imagine Paul McCartney - PU. Nope, won't work. Podgie (It would be great title for Podgie and the Primates though) Monkey

Let's hope MPL takes that into consideration!

I'd love it he named his new album "McCartney III" haha. However if he wanted to do that it should of been in 1990, and 2000 could of been "McCartney IV", and in 2010 "McCartney V", and so on...
-
I don't think that Pop Up could be the title, Paul likes long titles, and this is too short, no way. It might be something like: "You've waiting to long...but no more Kisses..."
-
HAHAHA...good luck with the "serious" replies!

Rumor about it being called "Pop Up"
If true, it could grow on me. I didn't care for the names Flaming Pie or Memory Almost Full when they first came out, but they both grew on me, especially since both are solid albums.

Quite often the name of the new album is a song from the album so we shall see.
-
Except for the last three. btw: I like Pop Up. Considering the producers he's been working with, makes sense.
-
Interesting title. I bet he has enough new material for a double CD, so when you open the case to get the first disc, the second one will pop up!

I did like the Radio Sky title idea from awhile back...

Where did this rumor of it being called Pop Up come from? Where did you read it, etc.?
