If that's right, it sounds like the live recording from WOA, probably going along with the remastered album. I was kinda hoping it would turn out to be a new and different Wings collection, with all the good stuff that got left off of Wingspan: Cafe on the Left Bank, Getting Closer, etc. etc. Oh well.

Maybe I'm Amazed live 12" So it is Wings after all.
-
So it's just a rerelease of the single for record store day?
-
There is also this release: "Ringo Starr Singles Box (3×7″ box featuring Photograph b/w Down and Out; It Don?t Come Easy b/w Early 1970; and (It?s All Down To) Goodnight Vienna b/w Oo-wee)"
-
It's originally McCartney's song. It appeared on Paul's first solo album

Looking good! http//www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/mccartney-confirms-wings-over-america-reissue-with-rsd-exclusive/attachment/mia_rsd/

They may well be right that WOA is next to be reissued. However they cannot deduce that from the quote they have selectively used. ?The live version was originally serviced as a radio-only promotional 12″ vinyl single back in 1976 to herald the release of Wings Over America.? is the quote in full from the press release. It correctly states that Maybe I?m Amazed live version was released in 1976 to herald the release of WOA.

I'm wondering if they meant to say "a tribute to..." rather than "attributed." Either project (a tribute album or a new Wings-compilation) would be intriguing.
I don't think Hear Music would release a tribute album to Wings though.
So, it sounds like it's going to be a Wings best-of compilation.
I'd actually prefer a tribute album, to be honest. We already have a Wings "best of". In reality, though, anything that re-introduces Wings to the world would be nice. Might signal a "minty fresh" setlist, as well. (I'm in an optimistic mood, so let me keep my delusions. :lol
I share your Wings delusions... ahh I'm just a dreamer at heart! As far as the Record Day... last year, I went out on my lunch trying to snag a few that I was interested in... they never even got them at their store. They said it was random which records they actually got. They didn't even have any Bruce Springsteens in his home town area record stores... I will try to stay optimistic and try try again this year! If someone was really smart about it, they would let you order the ones you wanted, at the record store... (the reason they have the day is to get you in there) You could go wild and order all of the ones you wanted, and then you would have to pick them up at a later date... where? back at the record store! Seems simple?!

Or in the U.S. for that matter? I'd have to do some serious research to find out where there is a real "record store" near me!

Fortunately Record Store Day is on a Sat. and I don't have to work that day! We only get a half hour for lunch, so no time during the week to leave the hospital.
-
I plan to, kinda fun, like the old days when I would go to get a new Paul *record*. Ah, the thrill of slitting that shrink wrap, placing the vinyl on the turntable, lowering the needle and then YEAH! New Paul tunes!
-
I went to my two local record stores and neither had gotten the Wings Maybe I'm Amazed exclusive. However I did find the Ringo Starr exclusive, so I am pretty happy! I will try to get Paul's online.

Picked this up today at Lou's Records in Leucadia north of San Diego. Only $4.99. They still have some!
-
lol, if only I could make it to California!!!

The Wall Street Journal has posted the remastered "Maybe I'm Amazed" here: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2013/04/19/paul-mccartney-revisits-maybe-im-amazed-live-song-premiere/
