There was a petition on this site in the Rock Show forum to bring that song back. I think what's stopping it is it needs a horn section

"I don't like you" "I'll get over it"

Easily one of my least-favorite songs of his. I don't have any interest in hearing him perform it.

I look around me and I see it isn't so! (sorry I had to do it.) Really that is a great song! If I were at his concert I'd want to hear it.

I must admit that its Linda's voice that I want to hear in the round part of the song.

^^ I love the parts where they both sing "I Love You..." etc... I always sing along!

I've always loved this song and think it's been unfairly maligned. I'm sure Wix could fake the horns reasonably well (much as I'd prefer the real thing), but I wonder if there's just too much Linda in this for Paul to want to do it -- not just memories of her, but her significant part in those intertwined vocals. Paul might just not feel right doing it without her. Sigh...

Silly Love Songs... one of the most delicious, melodious, bass-ridden, magnificent songs of Paul's post-Beatles career... I simply love it.... A brilliant song.

I would rather he DIDN'T perform it, not because he can't, and they could recreate the horns with Wix's synth, but because it wouldn't be the same without Linda. It's a tribute to her that he doesn't perform this song. That's how I see it.

Perhaps Paul's best bass line ever. I actually would love to hear Paul do a version without horns, which is my least favorite part of the song mix. This is an example where I wish Paul could get more creative in concerts.

                          Maybe I'm amazed !!

I think it would have been interesting to hear it live, in a McCartney now version. He re-recorded it for the 80s. But nevertheless, I think it's something about the song and 2015 that may not fit. I can understand it, if he doesn't feel like it.

I have to say that I feel the same... Linda's voice on this one in particular would significantly be absent. As you say, it is a tribute to her, and he already does Maybe I'm Amazed, which seems more fitting. I love Linda's voice with Paul's... It was so complimentary and lovely to watch them sing together.

I prefer to just forget the version on "Broad Street" -- without that killer bass line front and center the song just died, in my opinion

If Got To Get you Into My Life can be done live with Wix, so can Silly Love Songs. I wonder if Paul wants to distance himself from the song. I like it, saw him do it in 1976 and it was a great live song.
