I would like to propose to my life's love at the show in New Orleans and possibly get on stage or have the areas attention so I can ask her hand in Marriage! It would be the most wonderful romantic experience I could think of. What do i do?

          Make a sign.

Yes. You could try telling Paul about your intention with just a few words which you put on a banner. Make a sign. Paul reads all the signs he can. He responds to some of them. He's responded to a couple of my signs all right. I mean it.

There is a precedent for getting acknowledgement from Paul about a proposal during a show(I think there was one at the Good Evening New York City concert), so that is do-able, though it's wasn't on stage. Maybe you'll have a better chance if you go to the soundcheck and talk to the greeter. Hope it all works out! Congratulations in advance!

If she loves you, she'll say yes, regardless. It's about the marriage -- not the proposal or an over-priced wedding.

Best of luck to you. See if anyone else on here will be at the show and can help you with a sign - that way you can concentrate on her.

Well, first you need to fix the title of this thread to "Proposal." Then make a sign that you can secretly whip out to show Paul (make sure your intended doesn't see what it says or the surprise is out of the bag!) that says something about wanting to propose to your girlfriend with his "help."

Didn't a boardie do this in Detroit way back when. I can't remember the details, but he was close enough to get Paul's attention and assistance. Not on stage, but in audience.

Yes the famous Ben and Melissa proposal on Friday Oct. 14th 2005. Went along the lines of Ben holding up the sign to Paul and Paul reading 'Can Ben ask Melissa to marry him. I don't know Ben can you? Get on your knee and ask her Ben. You've got 18,000 people waiting on you.' I thought that was a great addition to the first show. Paul said it was the first time someone in the audience had ever done that. Their names were dropped a couple more times during the first night at the Palace of Auburn Hills I happen to also go to show #2 the next night as Ben and Melissa were back. Of course Paul saw them and mentioned to the crowd what happened the preceeding night. Fast forward 5 and half years later; I brought my soon to be fiance to see Paul in Detroit at Comerica Park. Had dinner at a Greek restaurant in Greektown and happened to sit right new to the married couple. Didn't want to interupt them but thought it was really need to see them.

ah...that show I couldn't afford. cheap tickets were nearly $300. I cried thinking I'd never see Paul again. (This was when concert prices went up up and up)

"I don't like you" "I'll get over it"
