One of my favourite interviews. A March 1977 interview with Joe English. www.facebook.com/notes/paul-salley/mad-dogs-englishman/10151371741236703

I'm happy that I'll be seeing Denny twice in 2013, and Laurence Juber once. The articles you posted are just getting me even more jazzed!

No, he's playing in NH, I think--I've not yet made it to AROTR, and am saving my pennies for my year in the 'Pool, so will miss this year's, as well.

If I recall, Paul got a lot of positive reviews/press from 1973-1977. Then, when punk/new wave took over, Paul was getting slammed again from 1977-1980. There is this perception that Paul/Wings was NEVER loved by the critics, but thats not at all accurate.

Back To The Egg was an awful album.

Almost as bad as "Run devil run". Great articles.

First, "Run Devil Run" was mostly covers and only had 3 original songs. Second, IMO it has some of the best McCartney vocals I have ever heard.

                          Maybe I'm amazed !!

Doesn't change the fact that I prefer the songs on "Back to Egg" WAY more than the songs on "Run Devil Run".

I've come to really like Back To The Egg! Especially "Getting Closer" and "To You" are two fantastic songs in my opinion. Really love them.
