Paul doing the 'Wings' sign....in 1967

A photo has emerged of Beatle Paul pictured in 1967 making the 'Wings' sign. http://s16.postimg.org/5jv5bgmr9/12345388_937297129693264_1383402921159387479_n.jpg And here he is 6 years later doing the same sign http://s30.postimg.org/jr9mgs0pt/12391766_937297143026596_5186366660884686805_n.jpg So had he the idea for Wings as far back as '67, or what?

Someone put these 2 pics on Facebook and said the first one is from 1967. Does anyone have an explanation? The photo is genuine I believe. -

Other photos exist of John and Paul forming other 'letters' with their hands. I think they were spelling out the title of the film and Paul's 'w' was just part of the word 'yellow'?

Okay, sorry, what confused me was that Paul looked about the same in May '67 and May '68. They must have down those promo pics in about July, August or Sept. or later in 1967 since John still had his moustache in May 1967. And the movie didn't come out until late '68!

It can be quite tricky dating photos of the Beatles as there are so many permutations of hair styles and facial hair to sort out !!!
