It Shouldn't Have Been a Single

I've Had Enough - one of the weakest tracks on London Town

silver moondog:
haha the lyrics are the only thing i like about hi hi hi (sex, drugs, rock'n'roll... who needs more?); i just can`t stand the music. I think it sounds rather lame for a song wiht THAT lyrical content. Like a - not so good - T.Rex-B-Side from that era... the lyrics of hi hi hi combined with the music of "Mumbo", that would have been a cool song
I take "Mary Had A Little Lamb" back... after listening to it now again, i have to admit that it`s really fun
I think the live version of Hi Hi Hi from Wings Over America gives the song the ballsy delivery it misses from the record.

Just put my glasses on, misread this thread
ops:

Letting Go - 1st Paul solo single not to reach the Top 40 I believe. Horrible choice for a single. Old Siam Sir - lead single from Back to the Egg. Not even remotely single material.
-
i dont think it counts as a single but. bogey music hate this one
-
Waterfalls, Pretty Little Head, Strangehold, The World Tonight and Nod Your Head
-
Dance Tonight
-
"From a Lover to a Friend" A threadbare excuse for a song. Sir P. should have written some lyrics instead of trying to adlib a vocal.

Only recently heard "Junior's Farm" for the first time. Seriously lame! Why was this issued as a single, while Wings were on top form as well??

Shows how much these things differ from person to person; I've always had a soft spot for Junior's Farm.

Shows fans different opinions, i love Junior's Farm and i was delighted Paul put it into his set list with much prompting from Brian and Rusty. The only gripe was Paul playing the radio edit in his show rather than the full length superior version. The only issue i have with as a single is that generally Paul's rockers don't chart as well as his ballads or pop songs which is a shame, but it was a top 3 hit in the US and a top 20 hit here in the UK.

Love Juniors Farm! It was played on Radio 2 this past Friday.

Ah...love it!
For me, it's the outro that makes this song; a great bit of McCartney shouty-style singing.

Yes, that was a shame. Can't get enough of a good thing.
