Klaus often played bass with The Beatles when Stu could not / did not, in Hamburg, ca. 1961, before Paul took over as the bassist in the band. Later, Klaus was the bassist with Manfred Mann. (He'd turned down The Hollies and The Moody Blues!) Klaus was part of Lennon's Plastic Ono Band, he's featured on almost all Lennon recordings except "Mind Games" and "Double Fantasy". Klaus also played bass on numerous Ringo and George albums. Klaus designed the Revolver album cover in 1966, and he also did the cover for Anthology releases, mid 1990's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Klaus_Voormann

Its neat that Klaus kept being involved with the Beatles over the years. I like his artwork!

          JoeySmith:

A great Beatles trivia question: Who's the only musician who played with the group & all 4 solo members? Answer: Nicky Hopkins

Well, actually there is one more. Eric Clapton played on a Beatles record ("While My Guitar Gently Weeps"), on John Lennon's "Live Peace Toronto" and "Cold Turkey", on McCartney's "Freedom" and "Kisses", and on numerous Harrison and Starr recordings, too.

What are the little square empty blocks between the name of the musicians and the albums on many of those listed? Is it because I have an Apple computer and not a PC?

No, because I have a PC and see them too.

                Eeee Cor Blimey:

On a Jason Falkner site he's credited as electric guitar on "A Certain Softness" acoustic guitar on "At the Mercy" classical guitar and grand piano on "Growing Up, Falling Down" so maybe add piano to his name above (i love Jason) edited my own post to say i've realised you're not counting album b sides, so i guess his contribution to that classic fantastic b side wont count! Sorry!

Jason rocks! I saw him with Jellyfish twice in the early 90s!

No, no, it's OK. It it true that I only used names appearing on albums as if neglecting singles. But as I said in my opening post, you are welcome to make new contributions, also concerning singles, charity singles, bonus tracks, OST tracks, etc etc. I'd like to make the list as comprehensive as possible. I'll try and update the list as you make your contributions and corrections Gruss!

__________________________________________________ Pawel, thanks for the great list. Question For someone like Steve Gadd...It tells you he appeared as a drummer on Tug of War and Pipes of Peace. For Tug of War, the booklet tells you what individual tracks Steve Gadd plays on. For Pipes of Peace however, the booklet just says he was a performer (he is even pictured) but you don't know what specific tracks? Can you give me that info or where would I get it.
