Not sure why it would be called Wingspan when Wings didn't exist past 1980.
Good point -- however, let's not overlook that the Wingspan CD had at least ten songs that are technically non-Wings-related.
It's just a bad album name, that's all. It should be seen as what it was really meant to be - a retrospective of Paul's work from 1970-1984.
I am sure there will be some kind of "Paul McCartney Essential" collection, but obviously not that since he's not a Columbia artist. I like these lists, but I do wonder what he thinks of his production from 2001-2006 given they are the years he was with HM. But these lists are good. I would add "Back On My Feet", a McCartney/McManus collaboration that was the B-Side of "Once Upon A Long Ago" that never gets the love it deserves. And I would omit "Nod Your Head." That song should never be played again.
By the way, is there a dark sexual connotation to that song? "if you really love me baby, nod your head" Since getting that album, I've wondered.
That's the most absurd thing I've ever heard. You're like Charles Manson and Helter Skelter! Bunch of B.S.
