flowers for paul!!!

yesterday was incredible!!!!!! i gave Paul flowers through his car window when he was leaving his hotel in seattle! ahhhhh it still hasn't even hit me yet! so surreal. i hope everyone else had an amazing time at the show too, he was incredible just as he always is. I was wondering if anyone was there when i gave him the flowers and got a picture or video if you could send me a copy? everything was going too fast for me to get one. thanks!!!

I agree. I've done limo watches at the venue, but I would never and have never stalked Paul's hotel.

I don't think the people there were stalking but for security to let someone chase the limo...who knows what could have happened if it was a diff person. again, nothing against you jojo.sto123.

Looks like she surprised security by running after the cars like that; since the car carrying Paul was already around the corner, there probably wasn't anyone blocking her from where she originally came from. And notice as she runs around the corner past the one guy who IS standing in the street, he just turns around as she flies past, but it's too late to stop her by then.

hahahaha there was a perfect path for me to run through! yeah i agree it would be horrible if someone dangerous had done that, but just think of all the girls who used to do that back when he was still with the Beatles! that was the norm! i don't know if things really have changed or if we've just become more paranoid... probably a little of both. it's really a shame that there needs to be so much security, it must be kind of a pain for Paul, and undoubtedly for his fans haha. but i completely understand why there is a need

you should have seen Paul's face when i got to his window!!! surprised to say the least, but he was great -- so joyful and genuinely happy to see me and get my gifts. wish i could have talked to him for longer. i barely remember our exchange i was in such an elated state!

I do think people that seek out Paul's hotel are stalking. Of course Paul looked surprised. People aren't expected to run up to him after he's driven past the crowd. The last thing he expected was somebody at the window. It could easily have been somebody with bad intentions. Both John and George had that experience--George in his own home. Back in 1990, at the limo watch in Lexington, KY, a woman broke through the barricades and started running towards the limo and the police grabbed her and hauled her away.

I'll have to check my camera and see how mine turned out. We happened by this on the way to the event and watched him leave. I believe I'm standing beside where this video was taken, but I tried to keep the camera on you until you got the vehicle. I don't know how well it turned out though. If it's decent I'll try and post it on YouTube for you. I understand the concerns security would have. This day and age times are so different than they were so many years ago. Look at what happened to John. No one expected that, he tried to live a life as normal as he could.

Oh thank you so much!!!! I would really appreciate that! Any pictures or videos I find make me so happy because they help bring me back to that moment. So glad you got to be there too and experience that when he came out of the hotel! It was pretty incredible for all of us. I also understand all of the security concerns completely. I wasn't old enough to know what it was like back when that stuff happened to John and George, but those who did experience that time always say how much it has changed. It's absolutely horrible that it had to progress this way, and that it is now so necessary for such strict security.

How old are you? George was stabbed in his home 'only' 13 1/2 years ago. I'm not blaming you for what you did and it's great you got to see him up close and have a mini-conversation (even if you can't remember it!) Just be careful in the future so the cops don't haul you off and you miss the concert! -

When they were doing big stadium shows in the 60s they expressed concerns about anyone being able to get a shot at them. After John was gunned down (by a fan that got an autograph earlier in the day) the others were rightfully paranoid and extremely concerned about their safety. George amped up the security on his Friar Park estate and some insane person still got through and tried to murder him in 99. When I watched this video I honestly was surprised that you weren't grabbed. I know there was nothing but good intentions but his security has no way of knowing. I listened to the interview on KEXP from his car and there was clearly a moment when he was distracted by something outside the car, maybe that way you? You should listen to it to see if it jogs your memory at all

In the '50s, Elvis had to deal with a lot of angry, jealous boyfriends of female admirers, which created a major security concern. Plus, there were a lot of anti-rock & roll bigots who threatened him, too.

I am totally surprised you weren't grabbed. Security had no way of knowing if you were a deranged fan or a well meaning fan. Like I said, during my first limo watch, they hauled off a woman who broke the security line. Cops hauled her off.

I've seen people run after Paul's cars before; usually they are hoping to catch him when he stops at a red light. I think there is even a scene depicting this in the "Love You Make" film, where he asks his driver to try and get away from somebody who is chasing the car. As for our flower girl here
, I am guessing there was no security past the one guy standing on the corner, and it looks like she just blasted past him before he realized what was happening. The other security people were in the cars driving behind Paul and I guess didn't have time to get out of the cars to react to her.
