YET AGAIN!!!! paul has done another free gig in time square. Its becoming a bit of a joke when he doesnt even come to Australia in over 10 years. Why again does paul give the americans more free quick shows. People are desprate to see him here but oh no because the USA is the world dont bother with any other countrys and quick free shows. how many is that now thats hes done!!!! I HAVE LOST COUNT AND I AM VERY ANGRY!!!! LIKE ON PRESS TO PLAY. PS ISNT HE ENGLISH!!

The U.S.A. was like the Promised Land to the Fabs when just starting out, and was very very good to them. He's never forgotten (how could he?). Maybe he feels much more beloved in the U.S. than in the U.K. and Oz. Some sort of brouhaha with the Aussie press happened years ago, and there may be a few too many haters in the U.K. for him to stomach at times.

I'm always shocked at how many commenters on UK sites are extremely negative towards Paul and anyone associated with him. I never quite understood why he appears to be hated so much there. Are the internet trollers there just meaner or is that the general attitude to Paul there? I don't see such hatred on the US websites. But, he spends quite a bit of time in NYC. Nancy is American and from the area. It's a safe place for him with a lot of media outlets he can tap into (Stern, Fallon, Colbert). And Americans love him.

I'm so sick of this attitude that other countries such as the UK don't deserve Paul. It's nonsense. Yeah, there are some morons who talk crap about him, but that doesn't mean he should completely not bother and forget about the fact he has a fan base here. And in Aus. Why should we have to suffer from the neglect? I can understand why it may seem he's over-doing it in the USA when there's places he's not bothered with for a while. He needs to spread himself out a bit! The UK have only had brief mini appearances from Paul for a while, where real fans can't even buy tickets and have to enter some 100,000 to one lottery thing. And for Australia it's much worse! Hopefully he announces some more Out There (plus New) tour dates very soon in some other countries.

In his defense he's selling the new album i would find it odd if he didnt do some promotion over in America if i'm honest but it does look at first glance at least that he's saturating America with appearances but i await to be corrected on that

First, the USA is the biggest market for his music and NYC is the media capital of the world. It makes absolute sense for him to promote the heck out of "New" here. Second, his wife is from the US and McCartney has always loved NYC. Americans may have gotten a couple of "free" shows bu they have shelled out quite a bit of money the last 10 years at McCartney concerts. In case you have not read it, McCartney plays more than the US with this tour. He has been to South America and will be heading to Japan. It is not like he only plays live in the US. As for Australia, it is probably due to long distance travel. I am sure it would cost a whole bunch of money to take his touring crew there and would have to do a bunch of shows to make it economically feasible. I hope for your sake McCartney does make it there but I can understand why he would not be there often.

Playing devils advocate here but most of the big names have found their way down under to Oz,from Springsteen to Pink and shapes and sizes in between i dont think the economic argument holds up any more as the gig market,admittedly from the other side of the world,does seem robust and healthy and surely would benefit from a visit from Paul.

sorry but david letterman, jimmy fallon and time square were all " turn up at this time". In london its TRY AND GET TICKETS IF YOU CAN with a lottery and BBC radio 2 comps, very diffren,t aspect. And i do understand promotion and Nancy being from america but im sorry still no excuse for a man who makes so much not to come to places where many people who have followed him are now getting starved of a performance from the great man himself. First, let me say I think Paul should play Australia and Albuquerque, and any other place that starts with an 'A' he has not played in some time or ever. However, I think NYC is the perfect place for him to promote his NEW cd, as it is a media hub, and I believe he lives right down the street, or has a house in the Hamptons or something. As much as I want him to do a free, impromptu show in Albuquerque, we are in the middle of nowhere and not easy to get to. Paul should have done an appearance on Breaking Bad!!

I would love that! It's going to be exciting to see the Japanese reaction to his huge gigs there, and would be greatly exciting too to witness the wild extravagant Aussie response--while reading celebrity biographies, every time they've played Oz gigantic uber-enthusiastic masses of fans turn out raving, I noted. They really, truly appreciate it when the greats and even not-so greats appear down there at the bottom of the world. It's marvelous to see. -

And what's interesting about Springsteen is that he spent all of 2013 touring Australia, Europe, and South America; he did not do ANY tour shows in the USA this year! I also don't get why Paul is ignoring Australia, I really wish he would make it there and give you a proper tour.

You think it's just me? Haven't you read all the remarks from posters about "haters" making horrible offensive comments about Macca on the British online newspaper sites, and elsewhere? And I've been reading in here for years that Paul isn't properly appreciated as a national treasure in England, by many there.
